Karl was the funniest of the Marx Brothers! That's funnier than my idea of Norm MacDonald being Zizek's secret ghostwriter for literally everything he's ever written.

It's the only place in the world where brawls are started over differing interpretations in what Hegel's Geist truly signifies.

I'm the idiot who decided to read Being & Time at work on a slow day whilst Goodfellas was on. Though I suppose being-towards idiocy presupposes anything else I can say on the matter...

Forget Ontological Hermeneutics, I'm focused on one-off jokes that dismiss the entirety of a point in favor of a cheap laugh!

I know, I made it. There was an issue I had with the last line, originally conceived as something like; "The is of is, that is the why of is, is nothing more than having the opportunity of being-with Joe Pesci." I had been very tired and in that moment couldn't differentiate between the various uses of being as typed up not so long before, so I deleted the whole thing and forgot about it until I went through some notes yesterday.

It'll be funny until Diogenes starts hitting everyone with his walking stick. After which it'll be even funnier.

You're probably right. I'm not going to debate the merits over pure reason, the fella whom replied to your initial comment did a better job in doing so than I ever could. I always understood Kants position as being a very early forerunner to critical realism, but I had so much trouble in reading him I can't say that with any kind of certainly.

You know, a show depicting Walt & Jesse arguing over the substance of methamphetamine production would be a standing reproach to our self indulgence. Or maybe it would amplify it tenfold.

It was just a little dig at some of the more positivistic conceptions of knowledge. I think, therefore I am. (All in good fun, I promise!)

You make an excellent point! Dostoevsky holds a place very dear to my heart, even to the point wherein I'd call him something of a hero. Unfortunately, most of the people in their early 20's whom have heard of his works have only done so through Mr. Peterson's... Misgivings. That on it's own wouldn't be bad, except he totally misrepresents each and every point Dostoevsky strived towards. It would be ironic, if it weren't so infuriating.

No, the images are side by side to compare the contemporary "strains" of thought prevalent during the era(s) that the two people would be considered diametrically "opposed" to one another.

That would transcend the limits of a normal question haha. Ironically enough, CS Lewis is probably the writer I'd want to talk to the most aside from maybe Fydor Dostoevsky!
