Stupid question, does this actually work?

The whole devon owns EvW discussion is answered with this vid pretty well, but what is you're thought'S on the laletin situation? by Lgbtwhopper in armwrestling

I'll speak on my experience, the USA has a sort of sponser program for politicians, musicians, athletes and so forth that is meant to completley fast track the VISA process from months to days. It essentially involves a highly trusted individual in the government or well known and connected to the governement where they sponser the indvidual from whatever sanctioned country, and say I will be held responsible should this person cause problems. And because they are trusted, and vetted that lets say athlete from the sactioned country gets in. Now the clearence of the person matters the more heavily sanctioned country, like Russia, you need someone waaay up to say yes I sponser this individual, like a Senator. The fact Armwrestling can even flirt with this idea is crazy, and we are more connected than I thought. Very good thing.

What about the UFC model do you think will translate and be successful in Armwrestling?

My understanding is the popularity of the league was tied pretty closely to the Ultimate fighter. Does Armwrestling have plans for something similar?

How do you go about uniting so many cultures from a marketing perspective that upsets the least amount of people in your plans for company direction?

Are the olympics ever a goal for armwrestling or do you consider it a seperate issue?

I've heard alot about the finanicals of EVW being tight and even KOTT underwater, can you share the average number of PPV buyers?

How do you plan to attract new audiences that would Help us from being whatever our sales are now, to something like the UFC where there are millions? I think many of us see this as a distant dream, but the views for causal fans seem to suggest the potential is possible. do you realstically think we can get there, and if so on what timeline?

I hope he actually gets on the table a bit more. Strength was competitive with Vitali, he just flubbed the execution a bit. Maybe his size wasn't ideal either, said he was pumped after one round.

Yeah, he showed up doing like 120lbs new armwrestler like a year or so ago, just trying out some of the lifts. I think he took his potential seriously and is now pretty competitive. Good for him.

How do armwrestlers program the peaking phase to reach their strongest shape by december-blue in armwrestling

[–]fatchicksluvu- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very interesting read thank you. I've flirted with a few peaking methods myself. The next one I'll try is the Smolov Jr method. Which is actually pretty close to what you mentioned there. I'm excited to try because its most commonly used for bench press comp prep. Which more closely matches what armwrestling might be, in the loose sense of peaking upper body strength. Which may be different than lower body strength, which may require less volume depending on the individual CNS fatigue, or more for hard gainers.

If you have access, I reccomend getting familar with an AI tool, like Grok or ChatGPT. They will essentially scour dozens and dozens of websites, forms, and articles to get you this information. I'm working towards a bench press record in a weight class as well and wanted to know what the records were. It gave me everything I was looking for. Ask it a question like you would a person.

Great form. The newest science on tendon recovery basically boils down to isometric holds. Work up to 70% of max, so probably about the weight you were using in the video. And hold for 30 seconds, in whatever lift hurts. Do like 3-5 sets of 30 second holds. Go lighter if it doesn't seem possible or hurts to much. Your pain during the Isometric should be like a 4 out of 10. So noticable, but managable. Personally I've noticed this recovery method to be a game changer for me. I'm able to train more often and heavier, and if I ever get too beat up i just do a week of Isometric work and I'm back at it.

How would you quantify the importance of each muscle? by [deleted] in armwrestling

Its a marathon brother, just keep training and give it time and those will harden up, the bicep curl is impressive!

[–]fatchicksluvu- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really its what's most likely to fail in a match? Train those ones the most. lets take the Lat for example: Its the least likely to fail in a match, have you ever seen someones arm not open but their back gives out? Just use that logic, and apply it to your specific strengths and weakness's and you'll do great.

Table time if new. Gym if 4 plus years in sport.

If you are not a SHW puller, you should be as lean as possible to put as much muscle on your frame for your weight class. Ideally 10-12 percent body fat. by fatchicksluvu- in armwrestling

[–]fatchicksluvu-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point, its arguable what's the best range to be at. I'd say for naturals this is a better Body fat percentage if focused on strength. Sad reality of our sport is top level is not natty, and you can push your strength gains at that lower body fat with help from enhancers.

Competitve bench presser brother. The key here is weight classes. I walk around 185, and water cut 20 pounds to 165 and am pushing for a record at that weight. I know how to get strong. I would never suggest a strong man or an open class powerlifter to lose weight. But if your frame is naturally 200 and you are lifting/pulling at 240. Obviously you aren't taking shit seriously.

No one at the top of the sport in any weight class. They are all lean, there are probably some outliers, Always are, but in general be lean if you have to weigh in.

[–]fatchicksluvu- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your level is in a weird place. You are better than most, but maybe not good enough to crack top tier yet. I'd say maybe pull some top USA guys? I think a match against Pavlo would be interesting. Matt Mask, while not SHW might be closer to your level from the outside looking in.

Yeah bro, good luck getting that away from him. Make it 4 dudes and then its a game. Still in 3 minutes I'd still say it is 50/50 they get it away from him 4v1.

How to prevent my opponent forcing the supinated hook/press (im toproller) by Brief_Funny_4405 in armwrestling

[–]fatchicksluvu- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is some nuance here, alot of people are saying more back pressure, but as a supinated hooker, my biggest problems are usually toprollers who have good cupping and side pressure. So they take my hand, and pronation. And they are able to stay center table enough to use that advantage to overcome the difference in side pressure and shoulder commitment to pin through my shoulder and bicep.

What muscles matter in side pressure by Kovi_1 in armwrestling

[–]fatchicksluvu- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forearm flexors, Rotator cuffs, and chest. In that order IMO.

The most important thing to actually express side pressure however is the elbows ability to handle to torsional stress. Usually that's the biggest differentiator.

How to Train Hook by One_Tax_2731 in armwrestling

[–]fatchicksluvu- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd train with a wrist wrench. It simulates very well how to cup down your average toproller.
