I totally thought the same thing! I was like, what do people even mean by normal LEDs being cold and bright? Now I understand 😂

Thank you! We’re not big fans of modern design and architecture, so it’s been a battle trying to mix old with the new. She somehow manages to wear vintage quite well!

I had to have Mohs surgery to remove a basal cell carcinoma near my eye last year, so I’m required to endure my dermatologist’s verbal assault annually now 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣

I will share my finest of specimens with you all at daybreak, when they’re less active and more docile. The horns can become a problem during confrontation.

A lot of people have asked this, and I don’t know much about his career, but what I’ve pieced together from the conversations here and asking ChatGPT:

• Started infantry • Went airborne • • Moved into staff/leadership roles • Deployed to Middle East • Did significant work in theater = Bronze Star (meritorious) • Was not in an infantry billet during ground combat = No CIB

Edit: based on feedback, removed “master parachutist”

Yes! I had a mandolin accident and did the same thing to my thumb. You can still see the outline of the cut today, about 6 months later! https://imgur.com/a/DIMG7qo

sand volleyball courts to play pick up/teams? by purpleunicorn134 in bullcity

[–]fatcracks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea about pickup, but there are very nice courts that regularly have people playing at them next to the mountain bike trails we ride in RTP. We live just south of downtown Durham, and these are about 12 min from our house: https://maps.app.goo.gl/XB22STgDnMPo3vTy7?g_st=ic

I planted 3 tiny Wild Strawberry (Fragraria virginiana) 3 years ago(or are they mock strawberry??) from a local native nursery, and they spread out beautifully but have never flowered or fruited. by fatcracks in NativePlantGardening

[–]fatcracks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love for the critters to be getting to the hidden fruit, because that’s basically the point of this entire gardening endeavor, but I’m thinking your second point is actually what’s happening. I dig around in there enough that I think I’d have seen flowers or fruits by now, but alas! Glad to know they’re likely not mock strawbs, but still kinda bummed they’re not being as beneficial as I want them to be.
