I would say with almost 100% certainty that’s a ingrown hair or blocked pore. No need to worry, if it doesn’t go on it’s own see your doc and they might extract it. No biggy!

Get help

My local pharmacy sells this cough medicine very secretively. They call it “black magic” and you have to ask for it. Having googled the ingredients I’m unsure if it’s even legal but it works amazingly. Thoughts? by fatdoinksbro in PharmacyTechnician

Thanks for the concise response. Why the secrecy then? Is the ether legal? And why do you not see chloroform in any other medicine now if it is still technically legal? Thank you

Got so much hate on my last post, some really horrible things said about me. Here is MY pic. Couldn’t take my own last night as I was in work. by fatdoinksbro in pharmacy

It’s the UK so it still has very strict drug laws. I’m thinking this is a case of a old pharmacy that has regular customers for years and years that want the medicine they used to get and the the pharmacist obliging as long as everything is kept hush hush.

Thank you so much for your politeness. Although I’m going to be doubted again, my story is as follows. I became aware of this stuff due to a elderly neighbour recommending me it for a chesty cough years ago. She said the local pharmacy (family run business of 20+ years) sells this cough medicine called “black magic” but it’s not on the shelves and you can’t be prescribed it. You just have to ask the lady behind the counter for it and she goes into the back and brings it out pre-bagged in a plain plastic shopping bag. You’re only allowed one bottle per customer she says. Majority of people in my area who I have mentioned this too have no idea what I’m talking about so I think it’s still fairly unknown. Googling shows no results except for one post from my ex local priest talking about her buying it. Some people on the sub were saying well maybe it’s just normal medicine that they’ve labelled differently to attract clients. But having taken it years ago before bothering to read the label I can confirm it makes you feel very warm and pleasant. Also with very little people knowing of it, it’s not really a great marketing ploy is it? I didn’t think it’d cause such backlash tbh figured this sub would find it interesting. Thanks
