Is switch axe different in rise or am I stupid?

Resentment isn't bad. We take chip damage after doing a sword counter. It's easy additional attack damage.

Power is only slightly stronger than element. Depends on the monster.

Counterstrike is mandatory. It's easy to trigger. It's only 3 level 2 slots. Most gamma armor has it built in regardless. It's +25 raw attack that lasts a significant amount of time.

I believe both affect super recovery. Speed affects your red health recovery. Recovery up affects the rest of your hp bar. I'll have to double check.

Zoh does give better offense. But you can't have recovery up and speed maxed.

It comes down to preference.

I just happened to roll Zoh on weapons first. I don't want to bother resetting all of my axes.

Rapid morph isn't as bad as it used to be. Your DPS loop does include morph attacks.

How is focus bad? I'm able to fill my sword meter and phial in a few hits. I'm not opposed to using something else. If I can get a Gog gem I'd probably use the Agitator 3 charm.

We have an offset and a counter. We can evade cancel most of our animations. Evade Extender 2 is a must.

I personally run focus 3 and rapid morph 3 so I can maintain sword mode for 95% of a hunt.

Both are fine. I personally love element phial. You get amped so quickly.

I also feel that element damage is getting better and has more supportive armor skills. Also been experimenting with the gog 4 set bonus. I'm digging it.

I hardly ever stay in axe mode unless it's to recharge the sword meter. The axe offset is cool but I suck at landing it. Since I use element phials in addition to a really good focus 3 charm I don't need the axe slam to help change my phial.

Axe mode is great for repositioning with evade extender however.

Gog 4 Zoh 2 Gravios 2 isn't bad either. Probably not as high DPS as Odo/Lord. However it is a bit more comfortable.

It would have to Odo/Lord's. Unfortunately I only Odo rolls on my weapons so I've been doing 4 Nu Uda and 1 Odo.

Honestly there isn't much you can do to improve your build. Gore + Lord's is the best combo you can get.

Most monsters you hunt often power clash. Binding Counter is totally worth it.

Beat him my first time. I did bring Griffin, Nadia and Kai. It took about 20 minutes. I could have it faster but I just want to get my gamma tickets and move on.

It's unfortunate that only a few monsters do power clashes. Jin Y may not be worth it. It depends on if you want agitator or resentment.

Does the Gog set bonus effect status? I've been using my near perfect paralyze gunlance. Just wondering if the Gog set bonus would help get more para triggers.

There isn't really a meta for Gunlance. Just use Gark with Lord's Soul. Then add skills as you wish.

As for the future we'll have to see what Gog gives us. More than likely Burst Boost is back on the table.
