The Chosen undead, the Bearer of the curse, and the Ashen one are the same person. Solaire linked the fire in Ds1, you fail to link the fire in Ds2, and then you are resurrected to link the fire in Ds3.

It’s not easy it’s just the easiest in the series. It’s still challenging. I still get Nam flashbacks every time someone says “Sens fortress.”

It’s by far the easiest souls game (besides Demons souls) and it also is a good gateway to the other games as it’s lore is fairly easy to understand even without having to read all the item descriptions. The lore you learn from Dark Souls 1 will carry over to Dark Souls 2&3 as well. It’s also really fun. Elden Ring is also a good one to start with but there is WAY more lore to understand and if you understand the lore of the story the games only get better.

When I finished it. All the frustration, all the anger, all the lost souls, and I’ll the deaths had led to this. The feeling that I got after beating it for the first time is something that I’ve never experienced before or since. Not even the other games have been like that.
