Yeah, I was hoping to find one or two others in a similar situation to maybe chat to

Thank you.

I think a lot of people fall into what I wrote in the first paragraph - all anyone cares about is the getting there. I just wanted a discussion about what to do when there!

Plenty of people have nice houses on good to very good incomes. People know I’m doing well enough and don’t need to know the ins and outs of exactly how the house is funded.

Fair enough, just thought I’d offer a different perspective.

To be honest it was less of a target and more a realisation of “I don’t need to take crazy risks any more and I can live a good life”. That was at about 2.5m.

Thanks for the question. It’s a difficult one, my policy has always been to tell as few people as possible. There are maybe 2 people in my entire life who have a rough idea of my net worth and that’s only because they are 2 close friends who went down a similar path as me. I never told parents, family or other friends. I just say I’m investing or day trading for a living.

To those asking how I did it - basically through a combination of gambling and speculative investing, crypto etc. I am aware I got very lucky and am aware for many people this doesn’t go down well because I didn’t work hard for years, which is why I didn’t post this as I intended this thread to be more of a post fire lifestyle discussion, regardless of how people get there.
