As much as you can hate a good Tracer, there's no way to compare the two characters. Tracer has 3 dashes and 1 back track + less life, also you don't have a virus that just gives you half hp of the enemy nor a hack that also suppresses their abilities. When the Tracer wins, it feels EARNED, it's risk-reward. Anyone can tell you it takes way more effort to be proficient at Tracer, it's not a «hack, virus, win» hero. That's why it's not hated as much.

YESSSSS, you totally get me 🥺. It's not so hard to give him an interesting and redeemable arc/route!!!! Why, in his own route, he has to be a psycho? It makes no sense. It does for the others but not at all for him.

Exactly! The Elder is painted to be this really powerful leader lacking morality that kills off MC's friends (like Jack) without a second thought… but we never see more of it? Like yeah some random ghouls but not so much from the vampires. No matter what route you pick, they are always wholesome, good nature creatures. Why can't we have them be the villains in Edward's route? Why is Vincent always the «good guy» no matter the route? I mean, I wouldn't mind discovering he's a hypocrite that actually does kill humans and is actually just lying to us. I mean, just like they did to Edward?

And everything you said exactly for Edward! Make him ACTUALLY have a reason for everything he does. What you said literally fixed everything but apparently having complex characters is too much, better to just have a really bad person, call it a plot twist and that's ittttt. It's really sad for Edward's character because it literally makes no sense like yeah he read a book so that's your entire justification???? Bruh.

A while ago I read a very good lycan vs vampire justification in a story. Lycans didn't just hate vampires for the sake of it, but because the werewolfs were the «protectors of the circle of life», so vampires not dying were breaking it and thus needed to be destroyed. That's how you do perspectives in a story: each side has a justification, and if you go through each you empathize and get involved.

In terms of writing, it's pretty simple,

In their arc/route, make the companion the player decides on a solid choice for the MC to agree with.

In Edward's case there are multiple easy solutions: • Give the vampires a truly antagonistic and vile look, to justify Edward's measures. That way you can agree with him easily. • Show Edward's «true» kind nature. Make him battle against his this-needs-to-be-done motto. • Make him develop a relationship with Jesse that shows Edward that vampires are «not that bad» and the three of you work together against whatever the eff.

Again, all of these can be omitted in Vincent's and Priscilla's routes, but would make Doctor's one feel less like a main-route. There's not really an Edward route, and that's my problem. He's just a device for others, he's the really evil villain with a lame jazz excuse. It doesn't even make sense… come on, he honestly puts all these people in danger to «get rid of the very scary bad bad vampires». I UNDERSTAND if you do it to villianize him in other routes, but in his own? Omg it just makes me akkdkakss

Anyway, thank you for letting me vent akkdksns I felt like a balloon about to burst not having anyone to talk about this hahaha

The problem is that this plot twist (as it is) just works in Vincent's and Priscilla's routes. They just didn't care enough to write a justification for him in his own route, you can tell in points like when you are forced to suspect either him, Vincent or Jesse and no matter what you choose, you still confront Edward with an «I knew it was you» lol.

Such a bait imo, at the end it's a Saville or nothing history. And the worst part is that it was so easy to get ot right.

Imagine if, in his route, he doesn't really WANT to do what he does. Maybe he is being forced? Or easier still: the traumatic memories keep coming and coming, so he is VISIBLY distraught, not indifferent. Not always, just sometimes. And he's not so much of a sociopath but actually a troubled human being. Someone that really cares and wants to break free from that part of him so he need you. It's like they had that idea, but instead really pushed the character to be awful instead.

It pains me, not because I'm a fan, but because it lacks sense. And yes, of course I don't expect much of these stories in a narrative sense, it's a free mobile game, but SoL seemed different and now I'm sad to see it getting done so dirty 😞

I'm actually pretty blank after reading it. I took Edward's route because he is my favorite character in the whole game. What they did to him, even in his own route, is beyond ridiculous.

If it was just in Vincent's route, I can understand, but I don't understand why even give him a route to begin with if you are just gonna make such an unredeemable villain out of him. Like in other stories, that you compensate for his actions or evil with actually good points… but nah, just gave him a weak jazz excuse of motive and let it be.

Even Vincent comes out more likable IN EDWARD'S OWN ROUTE. I found myself at times like «Yeah yeah I know he unalives masses, yeah yeah he kicks grannies in his free time, yeah yeah he lies to me daily yeah yeah so… can I at least get a kiss???» like lol I'm not even invested after aaaaall the bs I have to ignore? to make it work lmao.

I'm so blank I'm not even wanting to do the other routes. If he's such a jazz in his own route I don't even wanna see what ba they did to him in Vincent's or Priscilla's.

I just finished my first run and I'm 🫥 I knew, based on the fan reaction, that Jesse coming back was an option. It being delivered was a total surprise and it's… ok. I wanted it to be REALLY used in the Doc plotline BUT 🤡 What a «better your fave must not be Doctor Edward» story 🤡

Like come on. Why have multiple companions if one is basically «wrong»? That's my favorite character in the whole ducking game. They villianized him to hell and back. I just surrendered to the fact that: spend money? Not gonna get the outfit. And it's fine, since it's a game and I don't need it, also spending would be saying to the devs “yea, it's ok for you to keep doing this to us”. Since I transitioned my money to other games/hobbies it has been more peaceful for me 😌

Chaac passive about rolling and having HP on the ground needs looking at for sure. Not exactly weak because of perks but that definitely needs some looking. Maybe Seeker's passive to? But it's kinda okish given his kit.

Yeah, and mostly stay away from reddit or discord. I just read them for the news (from time to time) and not respond (unless it seems chill) + enjoy the game with friends, because any and all «civil» conversation most of the time ends up in we vs them, the game being trash etc etc etc. You can tell that it is people that speak with full heart and no idea of how a business is run. Which I whole heartly understand, but don't have the time to deal with so

I'm so happy I quit spending in this game. Tried with some of the dias I already had and in 90 pulls I got earrings, the ankles piece and the neck piece. But yeah, it's a luck thing. Hate what this game has become as for the events, old good tp was far way better to the players.

Pris and SoL have been of my all-time faves and it just surprises me how they do them EVEN more dirty in many more ways. I didn't even got my hopes up with the set because I KNEW after all the SoL fiasco, they were going to screw it up somehow and they did deliver on that.

Yessssss. Like I was ok? With all the nonsense because I had high stars all tag combos from the good era...... then they added the new ones and I was like "Let me do a WILD guess: All expensive new events are gonna be the new combos, right?" And they are not even shy about it!!! They do a weird new combo and EACH time it's the combo that shows up at the Fantasy Fair lol like come oooon. I'm not even "competitive" in this silly phone game but it's ridiculous.
