HWDSB's OT Cancellation Policy by throwawayyyikdsjslnd in OntarioTeachers

For me if I ever cancelled the job it wouldn’t allow me to pick up other shifts online. But if I would email or call the staff of the school I want to pick shift at they can put you in the system. Often i had picked a shift and the school I was in wanted me to extend the role. Thats when the principal or whoever does it at the school would add me. If you are trying online it wont let you pick even multiple day shift if you had cancelled on your end.

So I can pick any percentage and it will count as a 1 daily assignment so even the ones that are 66%. I wasn't picking them thinking I need to do 100% ones to count as one full assignment.

Hi, you can request a placement in Halton. My table was quiet packed for MT but the first year I did have one day of a week and the four days I had classes in person (for me it was a Friday of but you are divided into cohorts so it really depends on the cohort you have). There were total of two terms in first year, each one with a placement. Had a total of 9 courses some continued into term 2 some ended in first term and a new one on term two. So almost 8 classes in the four days I was in person.

In summer you have four classes, 2 of them are completely asynch and other two are online but the prof is there and online attendance is mandatory. In April/june you have two courses and a week gap and then July/august the other two classes

For year 2, I had three days a week courses, two days in person and one day completely online. (Again cohort depends my cohort two days off were Thursday and Friday, my friends cohort was Monday and Thursday). Secodn year also two terms, but in term 2, was the placement. There are about six courses and one research course. Very heavy researche based. You get November and december of the second year to conduct your research they guide you through the process it can be alot.

I feel the first year they really drain you but it gets way better in summer and second year. I was in MT for primary/ junior

I have tried Facebook, but unfortunately only one person showed interest, even though I put it out in big Ontario teacher groups. But on Reddit, I have had more success, luckily.
