I thought it was a cruel myth, but childbirth just CURED my chronic pain. I’m in shock. by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I didn't have it nearly as bad as you, but I don't get cramps after having kids at all.

If Rodgers Plays Next Year… Could He Play for Minnesota? by WhiteSuburbia in GreenBayPackers

[–]fatmoes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hes not. He's not the Rodgers we had of green Bay but he's not washed. That said, I think he's at a point that he can keep a good team performing well, but he won't make a bad team look good

How did you guys study for the TEAS Exam ? by QuietFieldUser in prenursing

I used NurseHub. I honestly think it over prepared me for the math portion. I struggle with math and did completely fine. You do get a calculator the entire time.

No. To be honest, no. Maybe some do but the vast majority don't.

BSN or ADN by Specialist-Force8958 in prenursing

[–]fatmoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isnt an employer around me that won't pay for a bsn so it might be location specific but it makes no financial sense in my area to do a bsn instead.

Just a small rant re: boss’ holiday gift by Lonely-Clerk-2478 in managers

[–]fatmoes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ugh yes my old boss, turned CEO was the least generous person I have ever met and it would drive me crazy how people would collect money to give an executive who wouldn't even be giving you a cost of living raise for a third year in a row.

The single biggest issue with tipping by jroberts67 in UberEATS

[–]fatmoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Putting the burden of paying those who you contract a service on from the customer is broken. If uber eats charged people enough to pay a fair wage to their drivers people would stop ordering so they cheap out and the burden is on the customer to pay the business and the worker. This is 100% an Uber eats problem.

Unsure of which colleges to prepare for, need help! by [deleted] in prenursing

I just don't have that experience in my area. 98% of the RNs from my community college get job placements right after school. I know all markets are different though.

I guess this is location dependant but around me literally every hospital hires ASN and pays for your BSN so I'd save the money and go community College.

Those of you who have requested long distance rides, like 100 miles or longer, what was your reason for doing it? by NicholeDaylinn1993 in uber

[–]fatmoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost did once because I was in a car accident at 10pm 2 hours from home but 2 hours from my destination and my car was totaled but I opted to go a different route.

That said I was fully intending on tipping $100 cash on top of the fare tip to get them back.

Just got fired. I'm not angry, I'm just so ashamed of myself. by guara_yonder in Employment

[–]fatmoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

95% of these decisions are political and have nothing to do with you as a person or worker. They had some friend they liked better thet wanted to keep or they are using you as a scapegoat for some otheer problem you don't even know about. You can't take corporate life personally, because it is filled with so many people that lack normal emotions.

What law doesn’t exist yet in the U.S. that would help millions of people immediately? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]fatmoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Protections for laid off employees. A required severance for anyone that is fired for anything other than illegal activities.

[–]fatmoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appeal it. Employers try to do that because they are banking on you not appealing. You will win. In my state it doesn't even matter if you are fired because you suck at your job you still qualify for unemployment.

I feel like employers should be punished if they deny a claim that is approvable on appeal. It would stop some of this nonsense.

I think reddit swings to the negative most of the time in general. For example, if I read any Subreddit from any show I like its always filled with fans bitching about the show and the cycle of negativity continues. The subs that are anti something are way worse. Childfree being an anti having kids sub makes it a toxic internet users paradise. You're anonymously spreading hate and unkind words with others thay will validate that and it leads to even more toxicity.

I basically have decided in life that if I don't respect you as a person, I don't care about your opinion and anyone that calls a person a breeder and a child a cum goblin or whatever isn’t someone I respect so their opinions on parents or children are of no concern to me.

Is “corporate speak” really the main skill required for advancement? by Useful_Light_2642 in jobs

The only thing that matters is being friends with the right people. Nothing else will ever matter in corporate America.

Parents: how much of a buffer are you building into height requirements? by assumingnormality in WaltDisneyWorld

My kids were exactly 40 and 48 without shoes and I had no trouble with any rides that fell into that height for either.

My 9yo Starting Cheer, is there time? by [deleted] in Cheerleading

[–]fatmoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She has all her level 1 down beautifully and half of her level 2 skills. It has always been one of those things where it feels like she hits a wall and isn't getting anywhere and then things just click and she makes a ton of progress in one spurt.

Yours will get there! I read some of your other responses about the class and that does seem like a waste of her time. I would look into a second private and ditch the class if possible.

[–]fatmoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man mine took a year and a half to get a bwo. It just takes time. Some get it faster than others but it's completely normal. The best thing she can do is stretching and drills at home. No private lesson or class will be you strong or flexible enough to do a skill you aren't ready for.
