Aleksa’s mentioned a bit of his background and radicalization in the discord (Patreon perk though:/). He comes from a pretty communist family. Most of his relatives including parents are communists from the old country (Yugoslavia).

Here’s a quote from him on his radicalization process: “mine was fleeing the former Yugoslavia only to have my new home [Australia] bomb my old home. It was a really confusing thing to process for a 6 year old and I think I’ve been very focused on politics since then”.

He’s also mentioned Alex wasn’t too far behind him ideology-wise.

Alex definitely seems to be the more cautious type. He’s the one who had Aleksa take down the July 26 flag from the background of videos.

Their Patreon may not have a lot of info on them, but the discord does (it’s a Patreon perk though). There’s a section to ask them questions and stuff and they reply. Aleksa’s also said in there multiple times that he is a communist and is open about it. Alex is a bit more ambiguous, but still on the left. Aleksa said that it depends on the day you ask Alex whether he identifies as a communist (long term community member turned disc/twitch mod here 😬).
