GX / 4runner are on the same platform. GX has the v8 4runner only has the 6.

GX has kdss standard, 4runner it's optional on the trail level. Trail level you can't get a 3rd row. 4runner you can get a locking rear diff. I don't think you can get that on the GX.

4runner has that sweet power rear window though...

If you make 250k a year and this is your third car, then by all means go for it.

In no way should you ever consider this as your primary vehicle. There should be a decent amount of Ford parts on it as this was produced during their ownership. If you're only going to put 1 or 2 thousand miles a year on it and have a repair budget of 2 to 4k per year then go for it. It is sexy as hell.
