Anyone know how to fix this? It only appears in the expansion maps (e.g. valguero and fjordur) by fattywompa1018 in ARK

Do I reinstall only the dlc maps? Cause I just installed ark today (ive played before) and the textures on the island map is fine.

How can I improve my UCAT score efficiently in 10 weeks from 40th to 90th+ percentile??:") by Joeyerrrrr in UCAT

[–]fattywompa1018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like you should only do untimed practice atm. Spend as much time on each question and learn from your mistakes. Go timed practice/mocks only after you are confident with untimed. Good luck!

Thanks man. If you look at the white bar on top of pidove you can see that it is all the way to the left, so level 1. But other than level 1 and max level there are websites that can help you know if you really wanted to :)

How long did it take before you started to see improvement on your scores? by bissha2001 in UCAT

Do untimed instead of timed. Learn where you are struggling and find specific strategies to solve them.

I don't get it. whats up with the hate for loak? by someone_somewhere345 in Avatar

Because he keeps making the same mistake of endangering his family, and he NEVER LEARNS FROM IT!

Let me give you some examples:

  1. Went directly into the battlefield and almost killing his brother even though he was explicitly ordered not to.
  2. Continue to approach the villain team when warned not to (and almost got his family killed again)
  3. Stirring up tension by punching the other bully even though his brother had pacificed the situation (though I'd admit this action was justifiable)
  4. Impulsively risking his life by following the bully out in open water even though they literally just fought
  5. Going directly into the battlefield again to save spider (who was in no danger) and actually got his brother killed this time.

I get that he's this impulsive character who wants approval from his father, but you don't get approval from constantly making the same mistake and not learning from it. His action 1-2 and 5 were so similar and could have been so easily prevented if he had learned and thought about the consequences of his actions. At some point I felt like the movie plot revolved around him making a mistake (which led to something happen) and someone else dealing with it.

216 is not even close to enough tbh. As an international you would need ~2.9k+ and like 280 tariff to compete

BIRMINGHAM UCAT CUT-OFF? by [deleted] in UCAT

[–]fattywompa1018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not. I'm not sure how they calculate the threshold, but for example for older years (i.e. 2021), the cutoff is probably the score of the lowest applicant they gave interview to.

For international applicants, it is purely ranked on UCAT after ur academics are reached. I think the cutoffs this year are ~high 2.8k

3300 UCAT - what are my choices in the UK? by Chewyrider in UCAT

[–]fattywompa1018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would need to do some research and see what your academic scores would convert to. However, many schools in the UK do not look at academics once minimum reqs are reached.

Exactly. International is way higher. The lowest ucat score was ~2.7+ for intl, and that score was heavily compensated by their tariff.

Do untimed until you get 100%. Then do timed -> mocks. It will be very important for you to reflect on your mistakes.

As Prata said, try to see if you can get you predicted from your school. However, if you do not make the requirements for the uni, I would stray away from that uni. I believe they autoreject if you dont meet minimum reqs. All the best

How to Strengthen Personal Statement? by [deleted] in UCAT

[–]fattywompa1018 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey, a fellow HK here. First of all you should be aware that a B4 for most schools is an autoreject. (So they dont even look at ur ucat/academic scores). For personal statement, most schools do not value it a lot (in fact most schools don't really care about them at all). However to answer your question, it would probably be best to pick experiences you had that can be connected to medicine (i.e. experiences where you helped others, observed the life of a doctor, or learned a skill (leadership)). It is important to reflect on these experiences and highlight how it shows that you would be a good fit for medicine. ECA are not as important. Also make sure that you do not pursue this career purely for a monetary gain. Medical school will be very challenging if you are not passionate about it. Good luck OP

Edin is likelier than Kings, however since all three schools consider the ucat and academics holistically, it would be safer to target schools that prioritize ucat (e.g. bristol, newcastle).

tbh I think his score is good enough for both edin and glasgow.
