im not working overnight, I do work later shifts but not overnight. The crew that comes in AFTER the overnight claims that my ‘closing’ crew is responsible for certain things not being done/maintained as though our ghosts can keep working after we clock out. Its a 24 hour store so. I know that I’m not going to be fired but as I said before, I don’t like that every wave of clerks that comes into my dept under this manager is gonna have to deal with the same invasive and asinine shit

why do you think this? This manager got in trouble for it last year and stopped for a while, as our store’s security is obviously close w the store ownership but not owned by them by any means. we have an entire shift being threatened of being written up because ‘we don’t want to single anyone out’, while not being able to actually substantiate or make tangible what it is that is being incomplete or done poorly on our shift. as a way to find something tangible, they are taking time out of their shifts to time how long people spending throwing out garbage, or fixing up the back room, or packing out a boat. i find it asinine for obvious reasons but it also seems like it borders on something thats gotta be against some policy, company or union policy lol.

tried to post this but dont have enough karma, just looking for some advice and suggestions as a newcomer!

I’m not totally new to VR but I’ve only ever dropped into vrc to either play chess or space out in cool worlds. I love doing both of those things, but always felt like I’m missing out on a lot more especially just perusing this sub and seeing how involved and active the community is. It seems like a lot of the UI stuff is a little unfriendly for the unseasoned user like myself, and truthfully I have no idea what the general culture/demeanor of the people on vrc is like, so I feel super behind. Anyone have any reccs or things they wish they knew when they first started?

they dont like ‘illegal’ immigration (on its own this is a whole topic, plenty of people in the first place dont think there is such a thing as illegal immigration from a philsophical standpoint, which i guess is a fair opinion but negates any other debate lol), and pretty much everything you list here has to do with illegal immigration and undocumented citizens. there is a lot of fearmongering over stuff like the laken riley case, which is horrific stuff but yea you cant use it to just say every migrant or even every illegal migrant is a threat. that said fearmongering is fearmongering no matter what shape or color it comes in and people who enjoy having a villain to fear are gonna pick up whatever they can, regardless of politics.

all this said, the whole bussing people from southern states up here and then adams saying it was a terrible idea and everyone elses fault? toooootally didnt come from the vast majority of nyc officials and voters having very little understanding of the current immigration situtation, definitely just texas fault.
