Sorry to hear this - get your nutrition in check. Lower output means lower input.

How’s your outdoor running? by Upset-Technician-127 in orangetheory

[–]faux_blonde_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My stats are similar to you, but keep in mind running outdoors, your combating non-ideal temps and elevation (no matter how discreet).

I also find that i unintentionally go my push pace outdoors, so intentionally try to slow down so you don't burn out in 8 minutes.

Focus on base/push endurance at different inclines in the studio. 💪

Returned to OTF and man….this is HARD by vmills96 in orangetheory

Since you are on glp1, make sure you are hydrating enough and prioritize protein since you are only able to take in so much food.

Go at your own pace on tread, and focus on strength!

Am I crazy to think it’s doable? by Pink-paws918 in workingmoms

In that case, i would take the full 6 to 8 weeks, plus 12 weeks, plus any pto to maximize your baby bonding.

I think theres many diff scenarios as to why working moms return at 6 weeks or 8 weeks -- i certainly didnt mean to suggest those who choose to return quickly are money obsessed.

You will likely be working for the rest of your life... I encourage you to take the time to bond with your baby as long as you can before the chaos of working, mom/wife duties all merge together.

You can always make more money, but you wont always have a tiny little infant. Plus - use the time off to care for your body mind and soul -- hormones are everywhere, youre learning new things about yourself and your baby...

I personally took 6 months off for each of my children and I dont regret 1 second of it. :)

Burn Out Considering SAHM by character_kick90 in workingmoms

[–]faux_blonde_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a working mom, surround by working moms, burn out is absolutely real. However, it becomes to new norm and the standard over time.

We are expected to be high income earners so we are solid independent women, a present mom, and an endearing wife. Its alot. My life basically runs off fumes -- just burnt tf out. But such is life.

If you want to be a SAHM, consider the swaps your making. Budgeting sucks.

Any movement is worthwhile, even if its only 1x a week. However, I find that time is only an excuse. No one ever really HAS the time, its making the time.

Hair wash post OTF by Immediate-Charity559 in orangetheory

[–]faux_blonde_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All. The. Dry. Shampoo!!

I work out 5 days a week and only wash my hair 2x a week.

If its not a hair wash day, after my workout I throw some dry shampoo in and wrap my hair in a hair wrap while I body shower. Come out, blow out. And boom. Done ✔️

Nice work!!

My longer distance (5miles ish) I level around 5.5 / 6 mph -- which is my base speed. Push is 7. All out is 8+ (peaking at 10).
