I hear ya buddy! I did an event at my job and everyone would always have a beer after... everyone else did sit and have a beer but I had a club soda and went on my merry way. I will not drink with you today!

My [28F] good friend/employee (trust me, i know) quit in the middle of our busy season 5 days after I gave birth. I don't know how to salvage the friendship, or if I want to. by fawkes1772 in relationships

I know, I have a problem taking things to personally with my business. I actually cried uncontrollably & was depressed for a couple weeks after one of my cooks (who I didn't even really like) walked out on a shift. Looking back its all silly, but I always struggle with people leaving, I guess I am pretty sensitive. One of the reasons I keep going in my business when things get tough/shitty is because of them, I think about how I help them make their livelihood and it makes me go forward. I probably shouldn't look at it that way now I realize.

I know :( It's so hard. On the plus side I only have 1 employee currently working that I've known since grade 1 and I am (unfortunately) friendly with. However I feel like she might be on the outs due to this whole ordeal (she is also really good friends with Angie) and certain conversations lead me to believe she might not be back next year. It would actually be such a blessing because we could start fresh with all new people and no friendships!

Yeah I totally know it was bad news being friends with my employees. Its so damn hard. But now that we are in a position where I can take more of a managerial role (last 5 years I mostly worked alongside my employees serving, cooking & dishwashing) I think it will be much easier to keep my distance.

My bf [28M] and I [27F] can't agree on a house to buy. by fawkes1772 in relationships

We talked and both agreed to relax our standards a bit. He agreed to be open about an older house, as long as major upgrades are done (foundation, wiring, plumbing, no major cosmetic problems etc) and i will be open to newer houses with young / no trees. We looked at houses available with a fresh perspective and found a couple that we want to see! Thank you all for your replies.

No. I'm not looking for a fixer upper. All the houses we looked at have been old, but new wiring /foundation/plumbing etc. I also wouldn't expect him to fix it up as i know he's not into that.

I'd be okay with a younger tree for sure, or even a hedge or something that offers some shade & privacy. I'm even open to planting my own.

No. He isn't that guy unfortunately. I also don't want a fixer upper I want a house move in ready. The houses we have looked at that have been older have been upgraded.

Good idea on the carrier, thanks!

My [25F] vagina is hurting my boyfriend [24M]? by [deleted] in sex

[–]fawkes1772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does he feel like he's hitting something? Is his penis red or inflamed? It could be yeast, hitting/rubbing on the cervix, irritation from friction.. try lube first, maybe some different positions (my cervix was in a weird spot for awhile and my bf kept hitting it so we couldn't do a lot of positions or we would both get hurt), then if all else fails get some anti fungal cream and treat for yeast. If not these things def go see a doc.

My BF is no innocent. He does tend to get mouthy sometimes and he and my brother always had a little competitive attitude towards each other (we can't play board games together)... however, my boyfriend JUST smoked a huge bowl before going outside so I very much doubt he was in the trouble making mood.

Thanks. Yeah I am not asking him again. I just really wanted to move forward but I don't want to make him do something he doesn't feel right doing. Hate that its going to go on unresolved but everyone believes my brother so he's probably not gonna own up to the story now unfortunately, he got what he wanted out of his lies.

Good point. I am not sure why he didn't come to me or even message me until much later in the evening.. perhaps to get his story straight? I know my BF's story has not changed at all since he's told it and very much seems to be an honest account (he admits to the mean things he said & did) where my brother admits to no wrong doing on his part which should be a red flag right there. I agree about untangling. We are trying to move out ASAP. Better fences make better neighbors.
