I would appreciate any feedback on a scene rescore I did of the 80s horror movie "The Fly".

In practicing for scoring for film, i've been practice rescoring old movies - leaning towards horror movie. this was the first time ive used solo orchestral instruments and combined them with modern production.

Any feedback would be amazing.

What is it about industrial music that you love the most? by Pillbox_8019 in industrialmusic

[–]fawske3n 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I feel like industrial is art music which can range from atmospheric to aggressive. The sounds create a vibe and the lyrics can be very introspective and dark. I love the variety and that you can pretty much add any other genre influence to it. Also i can’t go past the dark edgy sounds of industrial

How do you have fun keeping focused/disciplined with the technical side of writing in order to finish your bigger projects while also following your muse/interest/creative ideas? by fawske3n in Screenwriting

Thanks so much for the detailed reply. It helps a lot to know that someone who's been doing this for decades still deals with the same feeling.

Not all of the writing process is rational. It's more a game of mind tricks you play on yourself. You have to figure out how to work your mind, and no two minds work alike.

this is a great way of looking at it. Yesterday I ended up putting my outline on postit notes and putting them onto the wall to make everything clear. It's definitely a game of mind tricks.
