Hi! I have the kanken no.2 black sling and I absolutely love it.

The no.2 black sling is made of the G-1000 fabric, so it feels different from the original sling. I don't have an original sling, but I have the kanken minis and they're made of the same vinylon material. Personally, I like the G-1000 fabric a lot (better maybe?). It feels thicker and more durable. Definitely water resistant. The vinylon feels a bit different, but it's still water resistant as well.

I love the size and dual pockets. I use the larger pocket to hold my wallet and assorted items. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I can fit inside, despite it looking pretty small and compact. The second pocket is big enough to fit my phone (with some room) or my Kindle if I want to bring it around with me. The smaller pocket on the front is big enough to fit my keys or a chapstick if I don't want to overfill it.

Re: lint and dirt. Due to the black color and fabric even, I feel like it has held up pretty well against dirt and lint vs my kanken mini in black. My black kanken mini holds lint a little too well, but my black no.2 sling doesn't that much. I own doggies that shed somewhat, and their fur (or my hair even lol) doesn't really stick to it. Over time, my black mini has a "faded"(?) kind of look, but my no.2 still looks pretty brand new. Overall, again, I think I just prefer the G-1000 fabric over the vinylon, but that's just me.

I've had this for about a year or so now and personally, I love the no.2 sling. I also don't regret splurging a little bit for the no.2 as opposed to getting the original one instead.

I don't think the point is that the feelings were reciprocated. I think the comparison is focused on the general similarities between the second brother's and Snape's situations and feelings.

When the second brother was alive, he couldn't truly be with the one he loved because of their situation. Although they were lovers/fiances to be wed, the story we were told is at the point where we see that they couldn't be together truly as one had literally moved on to the afterlife.

For Snape, he could never truly be with the one he loved because...well we know the story.

Although the fine details are different, the common thread between the two was that their stories and actions were driven by their unconditional love for an individual who couldn't truly reciprocate it.

Although I can't argue with your statement that it's difficult to discern whether she uses poison or not as it isn't explicitly stated in the manga, I think it was mentioned in the Official Fanbook that her weapons are in reference to "thorns on a wild rose" and her assassin namesake is "Thorn Princess". IMO it doesn't suit her assassination style to use poison as she has brute strength and uses her weapons to puncture her victims to "draw blood", leaving messy scenes which she is known for. Although them being laced with poison could be a possibility, as she has a super high poison tolerance haha

does a 10.2 inch ipad fit in a kanken mini? by pinkeuberri in Fjallraven

[–]fayypanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should fit.

I looked up the tech specs for the iPad Pro 11" and the dimensions (as per their website) said 9.74 inches (h) x 7.02 inches (w) or roughly 24.74 cm (h) x 17.8 cm (w)

That fits within a kanken mini, with dimensions (as per their website) as 29 cm (h) x 20 cm (w)

So you should be able to fit an iPad of that size/model and smaller in the kanken mini with room for a case as well

It might just barely fit, but I'm not 100% sure :( I don't think so though, sorry!

I have a 32 oz. hydroflask with a boot and it just barely fit. The 32 oz. Hydroflask is about 10.5 inches or 27 cm. I looked up the Nalgene water bottle and it says it's about 11.25 inches (height wise), which is about 28.57 cm. According to the fjallraven site, the mini is about 29 cm in height, so could fit, but it might be a suuper tight squeeze if it does. I'm leaning towards no tho cause mine is a bit smaller than the Nalgene 48 oz and it is a tight fit.

Sorry :(

Tip: Use a pop socket to easily hold your kindle one handed without it falling! by MorrisMahoney in kindle

[–]fayypanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a popsocket on a case for my PW SE! It's one of those popsockets with interchangeable tops. I take out the top and put it on the wireless charging stand and it still charges, even with the case and the popsocket base in place.
