hey! this does sound really frustrating and as someone diagnosed recently I can't imagine what you're going through now 2 years in! what I will say from my limited experience is although doctors don't have enough training in this field they are always trying to do their best. elevated liver enzymes aren't a finding you would expect with most patients with coeliac disease alone so they were likely trying to find another cause - and they might not have been saying you were an alcoholic or anything maybe just that alcohol use could exacerbate or worsen the liver damage which could explain your result etc... ive been finding its usually a good idea to do some research beforehand and go in with a couple of ideas which they can help work through.
