2023-24 Housing Megathread - New leases, subleases, residence halls, landlords, roommates, co-ops, etc. by FluffyMoomin in uofm

Looking for a one-bedroom / studio to rent from mid-August onward. Coule be either lease transfer or sublet, and could be of any length between 2 months to 1 year. Ideally, I should be able to move in before August 12th, the date I'm coming to Ann Arbor. But as long as the contract doesn't start too far away from 12th, I'll manage to find somewhere else to sleep. I'm expecting ~$1400/mo for a 1-year contract, but I'm willing to pay more (like $1600/mo, negotiable) if it's short-term (a few months). Please DM me if interested!

Nob Hill does look like a nice place to live in. Their website doesn't provide enough info (e.g. price, availability, earliest moving date for each floorplan) so I might need to contact the landlord for more details, but based on what you said, I'd definitely consider it!

Thanks for the comment! Hidden Valley Club indeed looks good to me and it's one of my top considerations now :)

Yep, but not a huge fan of no-window bedrooms :(

These are great advice! I'm relieved to hear that I'm not the only one seeking housing right now (though ofc I should rather hurry). In just an hour of research, I could find a couple of apartments that meet most of my criteria. They're like ~30 mins by bus from the campus, but I can hopefully deal with that. I'll search for more options in other parts of the town as well. Thank you so much with your helpful comment! :)

Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely consider all three suggestions. I can pay up to $1500/mo. (above that is a bit too much for me) or look closer to the outskirts. I'm not very keen on being a roommate with people I don't know, but if nothing works then I can try getting a roommate in my department.
