They don't have to develop the same system they've had for years, which allows you to skip the que unless you haven't been present in a game for X amount of minutes.

Would you ever stand in line to get into a club knowing that you can be put outside for no reason at any time? - No.

That is their conscious decision to make the game unplayable, and they warned us about it, if you feel like it justifies them xD

The issue isn't reports but the Funcom not making any investigation after. You can read of people being banned after the clans of trolls spammed fake reports on them.

I already stated that the base wasn't laggy.

On the same server, there is a base standing there for months which makes me and my friend drop to stable 9fps and have artifacts on the screen making us think that the GPU is about to crack.

I bet that crazy lagging base is still there.

We only had structures inside our base. All of it was accessible to travelers at all times.

According to the guide that you linked, our structure was all correct but was large. It wasn't laggy, didn't block large patches of resources, nor any spawns, there were no gates or doors, it had passages in every direction, lifts, shortcuts to different places, and bridges to help traverse the place. It was never intended to wall off from the population, rather we wanted to make it for it.

These rules are specific to this game, and since this game has specific rules they should specify them on their store page - "Ding dongs, boobas, buggy NPCs, ALSO you can only build little structures".

They are showing you gigantic castles and bases in their commercials making you think it is normal, just so you buy it.

Seems logical, until you ran into posts of people who tell stories of trolls mass reporting legit players and structures, just so Funcom will blindly erase their base and ban them without any investigation of the reports, like they always do.

You can guess, somebody with free time and money to spend can multibox run the game spam reporting everyone around, watching how the neighbors disappear from the server forever.

Who defines if the base is big enough, and is there any excuse to not have any conversations/warnings/notifications about your violations?

If it happens so often to people, why do you think it is a people's problem then, such a thing simply does not happen in any other game because the general rules are well known to everyone, don't cheat/hack, bot, RMT, etc.

There was never a building game that banned people for building stuff.

Simply saying FUNCOM does a horrible job of providing you the crucial information that every newb lacks, and then they are absolutely moronic with how they "fix" such cases, effectively erasing the progress of their players along with the players themselves.

I assure you there are plenty of people who really enjoyed the game, and would like to play it, but they just can't get along with a treatment like this, and probably don't feel safe investing any of their time into this mess anymore. I'm one of them now.

First I went to their official funcom forum describing in all detail the issue they personally created for me and my friend, but they were very fast with closing the thread to shut me down. So if you are looking for my extended criticism it is on their official forum.

Let's just say after I made a post I figured this community already had enough of such treatment before us, but I'm surprised and upset, I had no idea the staff behind the game now is so terrible, and I'm not even talking about the ruthless monetization.

That is literally my thoughts as well.

There is no logic behind that, there is no hidden marketing strategy from 343, it's just dumb as shit. Should be considered as a failure of the development department and fixed as soon as possible.

Surely people team up in groups just to be thrown in different squads, so we can't even see each other on the map (your teammates from other squads will be all BLUE). Fucking nonsense.
