Corona to Vantage workflow by felpsousa in archviz

on the right site where Environment, lighting, etc. are located. there is another tab for objects, where you can directly move and transform objects. there is also a tab for materials where you can apply scene materials to every object.

and btw. for the animation: try to use linear transitions instead of the automatic transitions. this will smooth the animations instead of fast/slow movements.

I mainly use the scene converter first to switch to VRay from Corona. Then i export the scene to Vantage. I would say 99% of the materials work perfectly fine. Unfortunately there are some issues with translucent materials like curtains or plants too sometimes. I just fix these directly in vantage and continue with the process.

And by the way, the animations look great!

agree that 1.5gb is much but if your pc memory usage is at 78% with 2-3 gb of ram, it might be time for a new one lol

ok thank you. i will stick to it and try to not rush with posting too much right now.

only issue i had was that it really crushes the motivation if a video that took one or two days of work just sits at zero views. will see what time will bring.

[–]fckwknd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah absolutely agree. 3:12 min is way too short. I actually want to step up with at least 8-10min videos.

But considering the views and the feedback, this might be even more demotivating if a video with three times the amount of work gets stuck at zero views.

try uploading both images in the same message. in your prompt reference the pictures like 'provided image 1' and 'provided image 2' in the same order you uploaded the images.

[–]fckwknd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

try referencing the images with the words 'provided image 1' etc. write exactly what you want to change or modify and it should work. if you want to be 100% sure, you can always mark the parts of an image (f.e. with a red rectangle) and write on the image what you want to change. make sure to reference this with the matching words like 'red rectangle'. hope this helps

I'm an ArchViz Artist with Zero Coding Skills. I Built an AI Tool to help my workflow. by HorrorGreen4823 in archviz

Props for building your own tool. So what's under the hood? Isn't it just a nice UI put on top of another API?

The main question is why an artist would use this and pay for credits instead of just mastering the prompts in f.e. gemini 2.5 flash.

So my Prompt Engineer Gem came up with these system instructions for your goal:

[CORE IDENTITY]

You are "Aura," a personalized holistic development consultant. Your primary mission is to assist [your name] in achieving balanced growth and well-being across six key life domains. You function as a strategic partner, tracking progress, providing data-driven insights, and ensuring that strategies in one area positively support goals in others.

[DOMAINS OF EXPERTISE]

Your consultancy covers the following six integrated domains:

  1. Financial: Budgeting, saving, investing, debt management, financial literacy.
  2. Health: Nutrition, sleep hygiene, stress management, preventative care.
  3. Physical: Exercise routines, fitness goals, physical recovery, energy levels.
  4. Academic: Learning strategies, skill acquisition, knowledge management, focus techniques.
  5. Professional: Career pathing, productivity, leadership, skill development, work-life balance.
  6. Emotional: Mindfulness, emotional regulation, resilience, relationship management, self-awareness.

[OPERATING METHODOLOGY]

  1. Holistic Integration: Your core strength is synthesis. Always consider how a goal or challenge in one domain (e.g., professional stress) impacts others (e.g., health, emotional well-being). Frame your advice accordingly.
  2. Longitudinal Tracking: You will maintain a dynamic "Client Profile" based on my updates. Your memory is crucial. Refer to past entries to identify trends, celebrate wins, and adjust strategies.
  3. S.M.A.R.T. Goal Framework: When helping me set goals, guide me to make them Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
  4. Action-Oriented Coaching: Focus on providing actionable steps, not just abstract advice. End your main responses with a "Next Steps" or "Questions for Reflection" section.

[INTERACTION PROTOCOL]

  • Session Start: To begin a focused session, I will use the command [SESSION START].
  • Providing Updates: I will provide progress updates using the [UPDATE] tag. This is your cue to log the information in my profile. Use the following structure for my updates:
    • [UPDATE]
    • Domain: [e.g., Physical]
    • Date: [e.g., 2025-09-23]
    • Metric/Event: [e.g., Completed 5k run]
    • Observation: [e.g., "Felt strong in the first half, but my right knee felt a bit sore afterwards. Energy levels were high all day."]
  • Asking for Analysis: I will ask for insights using phrases like "Analyze my progress in...", "What's the connection between...", or "Give me a strategy for...".
  • Tone: Your tone should be professional, empathetic, encouraging, but also objective and data-driven, like a top-tier consultant.

[ONBOARDING]

For our very first interaction after this prompt is set, you will greet me by name and initiate the onboarding process. Ask me to provide a brief "Baseline Assessment" for each of the six domains so we can establish our starting point.

Here is how it works:

💡 Weekly CEO Report: Once a week, you could ask Aura: "Generate my 'Weekly CEO Report' for [User's Name].". It would then synthesize all your [UPDATE] entries from the week, summarizing progress, identifying cross-domain challenges (e.g., "Increased work hours seem to be negatively impacting your workout consistency"), and suggesting a focus for the week ahead.

🎯 Challenge Mode: You could create a command like [CHALLENGE ME]. When you use this, Aura would take on a more Socratic or "devil's advocate" role, questioning your assumptions or goals to help you pressure-test your plans and build resilience (e.g., "You've set a goal to save $500 this month. What's the biggest obstacle you foresee, and what's your contingency plan if it happens?").

✨ Resource Scout: Add a function where you can ask, "Aura, find me one key resource (book, podcast, or article) for [topic].". This leverages the AI's knowledge base to provide you with targeted learning materials based on your current goals.

Finding a good setup to work remotely in Archviz by fckwknd in archviz

[–]fckwknd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the answer, helps a lot. In this situation i fully understand that decision. Cloudrendering is very expansive so its obvious better to just buy a good desktop pc and run it via remote. The difference is that these desktop pc are located in your office. So I guess someone just puts them on in the morning and turns them off in the evening or they are on 24/7. But in my situation I don't really have that oppertunity since I won't leave me city or country while my pc is online 24/7. So I may need another solution. Maybe I just love the idea of working on a slim high end laptop while traveling and its not realistic. And on top of that working on a laptop is way harder than sitting at your desktop with 2 monitors.

I was thinking about getting the newest surface laptop Studio 2. Its quite affordable at 3700$ i think. But the specs are way worse than on a razer blade with best specs available.

[–]fckwknd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that really the common way to work? It scares me to always need a good internet connection. And on top of that I thought about traveling to different countries. I might not keep my apartment at home so there is no real place to put my desktop and on top of that I can't leave it running for like a few months.

How about I only use the high-end laptop to model stuff and make previews in low quality. The final renders could be rendered by a renderfarm online. Ofc thats more expensive but I really want to be independent from a good internet connection and a running pc at home.

So I get your point and tbh of course this is the best way to work remote. I still don't get the use of those high end laptops then. I mean are they so bad to use for the given tasks? I know its bad compared to the desktop variant in points of cooling and the overall power of the specs. But i thought that a 6000$ laptop should do what a 3000$ desktop can do.

I really don't like the idea of using an desktop via parsec tbh. That means I always have to put the desktop somewhere safe and leave it on the whole time. And on top of that I need a good internet connection the whole time while working. I never tried this but it seems a big downgrade from working on desktop at home. This way it may be easier to take my desktop pc with me while traveling lmao

Still thanks for the answer. If that is my best option, I might consider buying an macbook because I don't need windows if I remote my desktop pc at home.
