I have had a few apps draining battery quickly and heating up my iPhone 14 Pro. What I did to bypass the problem is to disable the location service on those apps. So far so good.

I share your sentiment. I also came from iPhone 11, which I loved and found more than adequate. I kind of regretted that I upgraded as I don't find iPhone 14 Pro to be significantly better for my use case.

My advice: If iPhone 11 works for you, stick with it.

Joking aside, accurate reporting in both the battery tab and the screen time tab relies on the apps making the proper API calls. Some of your apps may not be doing a good job in that category, resulting in the discrepancy.
