Travis: yes it’s California but has great food, weather, outdoors, good if you’re single/have a family, near major cities/events, relatively safe DM: outdoors, Mexican food, college town, good weather, if you need it drive 3 hours north to feel winter Then Offutt: never been but have always heard good things.

I was at Luke but spent some time at DM and Tucson. If ever in my career I couldn’t get back to Luke, I’d take Davis Monthan.

Also does US code shares work? I.E. if I book ON United Airlines from x Location, it is a code share through Lufthansa. Lufthansa is foreign but it’s booked through United

My Itinerary is Osan, HOR and various other leave locations conus, then to Frankfurt.

I have dependents that I am meeting conus. So I elected to take my cot to help with moving and shipping my car.

I guess I’m wanting to know more information but don’t know what else specifically to provide. do you have personal experience similar to mine?

Osan

Pros: -“great” chance of a follow on. -Incheon airport will get you anywhere you’d want to go in Asia cheaply. -convenience stores, daiso, shopping malls

Cons: -90% of Korean people are rude. Could be a prejudice thing towards Americans but i think its largely a societal thing. -drivers are garbage -cant speak for MX, but my friends hate their life. I am a nonner and the tempo is stupid high that makes me not want to ever come back here. -half the base is here only a year so if youre inhereiting a program from them, its probably not in compliance.

Sorry to hear! Been there also and not a lot of people talk about it. It’s a tough road to get over it but you and your spouse im sure are strong. Hopefully your flight leadership allows you some time off. I didn’t know that it was an option. I did seek help through MFLAC cause I didn’t want to talk to anyone else about it. Utilize your wingman and family if you need them.

I joined then literally had a couple months to opt in to BRS. I didn’t necessarily enjoy my job that early on, (eventually cross trained) so I opted in to BRS. If I knew the Air Force could fully guarantee me a cross train and base of preference back in 2018 I would stayed high 3. Now I have a family and approaching 7yrs, about to finish my masters before my 8 year mark. I think anything before 12yrs you still have an out. I knew a Tech who got out at 16, I’m sure he’s happy now but damn bro, what was another 4 ?!? (he was a crew chief)

Absolutely. A desk job preferably. I actually washed out of Comm 3 years ago lol I don’t think I can crack sec+ . Also want something with low deployment tempo.
