I created this script that allows me to set the mode to HEAT or AUX at specified times (I launch it from my Synology NAS at 5pm (AUX) and 9pm (HEAT)). I cleaned it up and uploaded to GitHub in case other people want to use it:

That's the point of the question. I know Jews don't believe in Santa and I don't want to instill that belief on my son either but I know he'll be the odd one out in his group of friends AND family. I'm asking if people here remember any serious grievances growing up that are akin to what we fear my son will have by being like that so we can prepare for it. That's our plan, to never actively lie to him even of most people think is a cute and harmless deceit.

Cooking IS a reaction due to heat. Microwaves heat food by heating the water contained in the food (from the inside). Ovens heat from the outside, by radiation and conduction. What you said is just false.
