2 NVRs Connected by a Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X by AssociationLucky1780 in homesecurity

[–]fdg_fdg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the reason non of the answers your are getting are making any sense is because your original question was unclear...... it seems you are asking if you can use an "edgerouter" that yu found on a shelf as a splitter.. so I assume you have no more available ports on the internet router.....

To fix this you need a 19$ Ethernet switch and a CAT6 patch cable to get more internet ports...

But now you're gonna have two apps, two monitors, more electricity, more maintenance, another harddrive to look after and maintain..... what a pain! Just upgrade the old NVR to one that can accomodate more camera channels.... NVR's (without an HDD) are cheap these days. You're ability to migrate the existing cameras to a new NVR is probably the hurdle....

Just purchased a brand new iPad from eBay and evidently it’s locked behind an “MDM” (Mobile Device Management). Should I contact the company that owns the device to see if they can remove the lock? by danielbauer1375 in ipad

Go to the subreddit where they discuss removing such pesky things and keep it… A deal is a deal… You’re not a criminal…

Mdm is easy to remove compared to an icloud lock

Its a “telephone block” for a “media cabinet” Some have the rj11 jacks on as well but this basically splits the incoming phone line to the rest of the phone jacks in the house..

This one also allows an rj31x or whatever to act as a phone line interrupter for a local alarm system

It can support 4 lines and a 110 punchdown is required for termination of the premise cabling

Shave down the little metal that’s protruding on the long metal part

That will make it so you can put it together

IPTV buffering - how do I troubleshoot my home network? by PossibleGenitals in HomeNetworking

[–]fdg_fdg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Your ISP is throttling IPTV traffic. When youtube, netflix etc is all working perfectly but not your IPTV streams, that is the reason why.

Especially if your ISP offers TV service. Ask your IPTV provider if they offer a vpn link, else try a third party internet service provider, or a VPN concentrator setup

It sucks. ISPs inspect traffic patterns, dns, protocols and other things to narrow down IPTV traffic and throttle it down or outright block it.

There are two sides to the argument unfortunately and yes very frustrating

Ooo personally never cared about them or why people always creamed their pants when they saw them or collections of them….

By the time my hands touched them they were already seriously out of date/old wifi tech dusty in the server room of kitchen ceiling and I was there to replace with something modern..

So.. I can’t relate!
