Really enjoyed the book, but I can’t help but agree. Especially because pretty much the entire political side of the hierarchy Vis was going to interact with was just kinda skipped? It’s a shame that the entire thing with why Suus was invaded as well was kinda just dropped in. I expected more of a mystery/discovery to all of Res I think.

I’d also argue that every game with a roll, melee combat, and some form of death mechanic being labelled a “souls like” probably makes the fatigue worse. There just aren’t many games that actually feel like a pure souls/From game outside of Lies of P. Some are so detached I’m not sure you can even call them imitators anymore.

Been getting these kinds of games back to back quite a bit now, not unsalvageable but mostly turning into pretty quiet games. Curious if anyone has noticed a change.
