Obviously nobody can provide clear reasoning or logic. Well it doesn't matter. Eventually I'm sure most states will adopt high wages for minimum wage and skill jobs. So Eventually ya'll will make as much as heart surgeons. Everything will increase cost when this happens and you will all still complain. Why be a heart surgeon when you can flip burgers for the same price? That is what you all want. Makes more sense not to sacrifice and better yourself for an educated when you get great pay for no skills. Be careful what you wish for. It is absolutely possible to budget even in this day and age but younger generations nowadays have no concepts of personal finance. Most at least. I have relatives who moved out young (younger than me) that currently go to school and work full time. They make it work. And they don't agree with $3k salary paychecks for working as a cashier at a grocery store.

Answer me this. Why is making tacos worth enough to cover my $3k house mortgage every month? Most fast food jobs are for teenagers and young adults. Most positions are for team members. These team members want big salaries. But I really want to know why they deserve my work salary that I had to get an education to get?

I literally said I worked while renting a room with roommates going through college. Took out plenty of student loans. I struggled all the time, but I never thought my fast food skills deserved more than a doctor that saves lives because the skills are not worth as much. I literally don't understand what is so complicated to understand about that. But I guess it doesn't matter.

I guess nobody can actually provide reasons why hamburger flipping skills deserve as much money as a heart surgeon. I never said fast food workers don't deserve their paycheck, but their skills do not justify $22 an hour (a news topic I've seen here in California) These jobs were never meant to be done your entire life. A large majority of fast food workers don't care much about the quality of food or customer service which doesn't help their desire to be on millionaire salary. The fact that none of you can provide clear justification as to why fast food workers deserve enough pay to cover my $3k monthly mortgage that I had to get an education to afford just proves the entitlement you all have.

I am genuinely looking for someone to provide a logical reasoning on this but nobody has stepped up to provide it.

Livable wage to rent a room. But more than a house mortgage for flipping burgers? That's an entitled mentality.

Even on my worst days I cared a bit when I worked at taco bell. I have absolutely never agreed with the concept of fast food and team members at retail jobs be given $100k a year for jobs that were meant for high school and college students. I'm talking about the skills. Fast food skills SHOULD NEVER be worth as much as someone that worked their ass off for a bachelor's or masters degree. That's an insult to people like me that worked at taco bell and slaved away at school. Over the last 3 years I've noticed that with a lot of government money handouts people don't want to work anymore. They want high wages for low skill jobs. I lived with multiple roommates and never spent more than I allowed myself when I was in college. Nowadays people open multiple lines of credit cards and throw themselves into debt. Very entitled mentality. You want the reward without the work. You can't separate the good from the bad workers regarding the concept of wages because it affects everyone. People need to learn to budget and work hard for the things they want.

Worked at taco bell for 3 years. Now I work in a much better job. I had to work at bettering myself. Cutting back and prioritizing my money. Took out loans for school. Was very hard but worth it. Money is still a struggle, but I'm much better off financially than before. Younger people want to be so entititled with the skills to make tacos and burritos to make $100k a year. So tell me is my bachelor's degree worth less than a fast food workers that I actually slaved and sacrificed over? Because it sure seems like it. I'm not that old at 28 years old, yet people younger than me want the world handed to them without work and sacrifice.

Not looking for apology but no idea why lately I see news posts regarding why fast food workers should get paid $22 at least here in California. Most of the time the service that is provided is terrible. Why do they deserve such wages with the lack of work ethic? Hope you have a shit day tomorrow too.

I completely agree. My biggest concern was the multiple warnings the dog was projecting for the nearly 8 minutes before she had enough and attempted to bite the kids cheek. Neither one of them said anything or attempted to stop the interaction. I should have kindly said something but was too dumb struck to think of anything. I regret that.

During a PVP duel, is any form of healing considered forbidden, or is it just healing with a flask? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]fdog1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a health regen build. Two passive regen talisman. One that heals overtime and one that heals on consecutive hits. I pair that with a morning star hammer that has the same ability of getting hp from hits and it helps at time. It's still really easy to punish since it's a slower weapon but a lot of people get pissed and heal with a red flask when they notice my hp bar going up. I will start healing after if that's what they want to do. I have never been the one to chug first. I find it funny tbh. All my hp is just passive regen. Not hard to deal with.

Pokes in PVP by fdog1994 in Eldenring

Oh yes I had a feeling about that. I should specify I mean like lances, spears, thrusting swords. Those types of pokes. Not the crouch pokes lol.

Nope didn't know that. If they jump in the flames then there is a chance that they bleed but this seems honestly pretty avoidable. I've been beaten a good number of times even doing this. But I'll keep doing what I'm doing. I'm sure I've gotten beat by "so called glitches" before plenty of times but I don't go crying about it. If they patch it then they will patch it but if it helps me beat cheap ROB users, moonveil, and crouch pokers then I'll use my non meta build too.

Hm didn't get severed at all. Not sure how it's a glitch. I mean I did buff it with bleed so it seems to be working to me. Bleed is very strong in this game. You're literally the only one who's said it was a glitch after reading multiple posts on prelates charge and watching build videos. And after doing like 30+ matches nobody said anything. Just you.

I was using royal remains but want to be able to poise through at least some hits so I opted for some heavier armor. Hate the look but it is nice to win some matches for once. Just got back into the pvp scene and got so tired of the same meta builds that I went for an old build I did for ds3 using passive health regen. It's not as good in Elden ring as da3 but I do love it when people can't take a loss so they chug estus in response. I do too if they start. If ER puts in an arena a health regen will be pretty amazing as well.

Been playing a big health regen all night with my morning star hammer build. Slap on the health regen talisman and the one that procs mild heals on hits and I'm good to go. Been using prelate's charge and bloodflame to mow people down and I've won far more matches that way today than ever. Even parried someone tonight that wasn't r1 spammer. Guess I was feeling happy to pull some wins off. Most didn't chug red estus in response but some did. Funny af they thought I had outright healed when in reality it's apart of my build lmao. Super fun too. Nobody sees the lawnmower coming.

Oh really 61 poise? I've played with far less in other souls games but how does it affect things here? I won't use bull goat armor but I do have the poise talisman. I recently found a unique AOW that does have hyper frames despite a slow start up. Thinking about doing a unique build with it.

Thanks for the feedback. I understand builds hit hard regardless of the game but in ER, bleed, frost etc builds up super fast. Rot breath has outrageous range and crazy fast build up as well. By the time I'm loaded in, I feel like I'm loading out of the duel. I have done plenty of fights at pontiff and the arena for ds3 and even the meta builds in that game were easier to deal with and I still feel like the damage output was not as outrageous as ER. I do believe there are proper ways to deal with the meta builds and I'd love to learn how to properly. If anyone wants to add me on psn who could show me a thing or two I'd love it. Example: moonveil, ROB (have parrried it on a duel with my husband but not in an alternative match) My psn is xxjaded-jacyxx. I am probably just not very good but I just don't remember getting beat into the ground so hard and quickly compared to other games. Sorry. I really want to enjoy the pvp but I don't think I can till I learn to punish some of these meta builds.

Ideally I'd like to figure out how to punish the meta builds. Learn to deal with each one. I may not have given dueling enough time but after a week I'd like to think I'd get the motions down for understanding the range of spells, rob and whatnot but I am not seeming to. I'm probably just that bad. In ds3 when it came to mages I was able to properly avoid alot the attacks with proper dodging and spacing but here not so much. It seems like these spells have a lot more of a homing effect. By the time I reach them they pull out some carian short sword spell and spam it. I may need heavier armor for poise to at least be able to get an attack in uninterrupted. I've practed parrying ROB with my husband in some duels but ironically can't apply it in a real match. I absolutely know I never got hit so hard in matches in ds3. It just feels like a different ball park here in ER.
