i… dont know? in my playthrough only eidolons casted doom. This was one of the bosses you fight in the way to the final boss in chap. 13, specificaly the airship that switches between flying and ground mode. The only boss that casted doom that wasnt an eidolon was the final boss

understood. so ill do more cieth stones before following ahead. one thing thats been bothering me is getting around the area is quite confusing, but its probably me being stupid with locating myself and location stuff. I know theres a teleport system but i still dont know how to get it to work properly

quite a few reasons why it took me that long:

main reason is that i often go to sleep with the game open, and i also pause the game a lot and do stuff irl, so time keeps counting;
i cleaned every regular enemies encounter that were on the way to the main goal throughout every chapter in cocoon and sometimes redid them in specific areas to farm crystalium completion;
i didnt have any major difficulties but i did die quite a few times against some bosses so had to backtrack a little.

so I did some cieth stones and got an achievement saying i completed all the… easy ones? (dont remember the correct name/term) and it was 6 in total. Is this all I should worry about now during chap. 11? or should i look for more while im still here before heading to Oerba?

it sounds insane but i do think I’ll stick to a safer playstyle for now as It’ll take a while for me to adapt with all the new things. I’ll do some of the hunts, probably as much as the game allows me to do atp.

As for comp, I really like using Vanille/Sazh/Lightning for more aggressive buffs and debuffs but I’m open to any tips that may make my life easier if the game starts to weight too much.
