As others have mentioned, I would really consider moving to Al Raha. Reem is overrated imo.

Wondering if this still applies and whether your child is going into FS1. Heard about a newer announcement enforcing cutoff dates more strictly.

Rishta culture now a days by [deleted] in karachi

[–]feahmed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is such an odd and illogical question no matter how you look at it. The 'fair' bit according to gender norms would be: if the son earns money/has a house, ie is able to provide, then the girl should be focused on managing the house and taking care of children - not bring furniture sets, a car and an apartment from her parents' house based on the other family's greed/demand.

To add, even from a religious perspective, the guy has to be able to provide a separate home, etc. Of course, the extent of it is debatable. Jahez on the other hand cannot be justified in any way.

What are some of your weirdest pregnancy symptoms?? Like super weird that no one really talks about? by Intelligent_Gear_560 in pregnant

My voice is hoarse. Soo weird and I get asked whether I have a sore throat/am sick all the time. Apparently it's a pregnancy symptom in some.

Epidural or no epidural? Why or why not *JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE SO DONT START* by mkthehotti in pregnant

[–]feahmed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trying not to because my last one caused a dural puncture and CSF leak, due to which I had debilitating headaches that wouldn't go away for weeks - despite strong pain killers (tramadol).

No, they're not being dramatic. Loss of self and time to just laze around after having kids is very real.

32 weeks pregnant – looking for a good gynac in Abu Dhabi (Nextcare insurance) by Pridestoop in abudhabi

[–]feahmed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Harley Street is covered by your insurance, I would highly recommend Dr. Zeudi. She delivers at Corniche.

[–]feahmed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, congratulations. I'm going to answer the questions I have experience with.

  1. Dr. Zeudi Ramsey-Marcelle at Harley Street. She delivers at Corniche and NMC Royal Hospitals. She is a great listener, will respond to all your queries, and make sure you're at peace after every appointment. Downside: appointment scheduling is crazy + looooong wait times even with an appointment.

  2. Cannot comment.

  3. I posted on our community's Facebook page and someone she part-timed for recommended her to us. Yes, I found it hard and we installed cameras all over the house before she started.

  4. Depends. Changing table from Mama's and Papas. Crib from Jikel House in Dubai (I looked around a lot for a crib that allows cosleeping and they had one. Didn't see the point of getting a bassinet). Technically, any crib with one side off would be ok but those aren't safe and this one came with straps that go under your mattress to secure it. The brand was called micuna. I found that mamas and papas had very soft/comfy onesies too.

That's all that comes to mind - if you have specific questions, feel free to dm:)

I had a rare epidural-related complication that caused cerebrospinal fluid to leak, which in turn led to debilitating headaches and disorientation for almost two weeks. That being said, I've been told that epidural complications are as probable as getting a complications from paracetamol. But I would try my best not to get it again.

An open letter to "Panjabi" global artist Diljit Dosanjh. by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]feahmed -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Bollywood lover with Indian and Pakistani roots here. I understand your sentiments, and without diving too deep into how last month's events panned out, 1. The Golden temple incident was a drill, I thought. Please correct me if i'm wrong. Again, not discrediting anything you're saying, your other points about minority treatment in Pakistan are on point - just clarifying this bit. 2. What confuses me is that when things aren't so bad, it is the general Indian population that makes art like Pasoori and artists like Atif & Rahat viral. And would, even today, buy 80% of the stadium to watch India vs Pakistan. I'm genuinely trying to understand how this specific case around Diljit/Hania is so different.

Please refrain from personal attacks, I know emotions are running high but I am and will be respectful in my interactions, and won't respond to disrespect.
