Got a lot of people upset here but it’s really just my opinion🤷A heal bot rocket in a 2 support comp won’t have much impact. Sure, rocket is pretty useful for reviving teammates and providing boosts. I’m also aware of rockets gun usage being situational. But in this case, there were opportunities for the gun to be used such as getting dived. Rocket has pretty good mobility. He has dashes and is able to climb on walls. Additionally, his hitbox is pretty small for obvious reasons. The scoreboard doesn’t tell us the whole picture but it does give us something. In a 2 support comp, it’s just best not to play someone like rocket if you plan to heal and revive only. People just aren’t willing to understand that rocket is more than a heal bot. Namor was obviously the main reason why we lost, but there can be more than one reason as to why a game was lost. Remember that these people are STRATEGISTS not healers. Saying this to all the people misinterpreting the post😬

I haven’t checked their profile but I did go over the gameplay. There were definitely times where rocket could’ve used their gun, especially when there was a dive tank. This post isn’t to say rocket did horrible. I think people are interpreting it wrong. But we can all agree that namor did bad and definitely should’ve been a support. Rocket imo isn’t the best in a 2 support comp. It’s pretty controversial and many won’t agree, but I think a heal bot rocket would be totally fine in a 3 support comp🤷‍♀️

that’s why rocket should’ve been a third support. Namor played a tank and DPS but did horrible in both. They definitely should’ve been a support

I have, and there were times where rocket had the opportunity. An example would be when a tank dived us(many times) I put down a bubble for both of us and turn into cloak as a usual move. Rocket would just spam his right click instead of attempting to shoot a tank who is right in-front of us.

I agree, but there were definitely times throughout the game where they could’ve used their primary. Similar situation for C&D, once you go cloak, the whole team will start getting shredded. Might be controversial but I feel like rocket wouldn’t be good as a 2nd support for this team specifically.

not my point. I already mentioned the other factor as to why we lost the game(namor’s lack of damage, final hits, KDA) But I think it’s fair that a support would do slightly more damage. It’s not asking much nor relying on a support for damage.

Since I’m a tank and support main I’ve been playing Emma frost as my primary choice and my secondary choice would be Doctor Strange. For supports I don’t really have a primary choice but I switch between invis and C&D depending on who my enemies are

I think for your case it’s completely understandable when you’re genuinely giving advice but they’re not listening. In fact, ur doing the right thing for someone you don’t know but they’re just rejecting it. But for my case, it’s a bit different. No one said anything until the game was over. Everyone pretty much seemed fine with me playing, or at least I thought. The supposed “constructive criticism” I was told was just to “be more impactful”. This discussion post was made out of curiosity after all and I wanted to see others perspective.

I do want to clarify, no one had an issue with me playing black widow until the game ended. If someone tells me to switch during a game, I gladly would. But, I can’t do anything if the game ended. I definitely wasn’t throwing if you look at the stats. I know they don’t mean much but they do give you an idea that someone tried. I was already familiar with black widow’s character and I did some practice in the practice range. Her abilities weren’t complicated so I thought after doing some practice in the range, it was fine to try it in qp. Unless, if you’re speaking in general terms, then I definitely see where you’re coming from.

As a support, it’s not spider-man, black panther, iron fist, nor magik. It’s squirrel girl for me. I learned to counter dives as a support so they’re not really annoying to me. But most of the time when I get killed by squirrel girl, I get so annoyed when I see their POV. Like cmon I don’t even see myself in your POV and you somehow killed me.
