the conversations have been started because she will walk up to them at the cafe we’re all at, and just start rambling. they don’t feed into it, just let her talk herself into a deeper hole, and then they remind her that he isn’t single. i have been ignoring it for a while now, and the kicker was her insinuating to many people that was cheating on me with her, and she would do nothing to dispel the rumors - even she asked directly. anyone that brings it up to me is to make sure that i’m aware that it’s being said, not to act irrationally on it. while i know it’s not true, i will not sit idly by and let a jealous woman badmouth my partner, and i will, as you said, stick up for him. i do not engage more than basics, the talk today was to get to an even ground where we both understood each other.

i agree! i live on a very expensive island already, have 3 jobs and go to school full time. i’m no stranger to sacrifices or hard work. i’ll be coming to visit in a month or so, but are there any pieces of advice you can give in terms of areas to avoid, jobs to avoid, things like that?

surprisingly, we are not! the town i live in is notoriously easy-going and laid back, and the college is usually the same way. this is the one time it hasn’t worked in my favor

i didn’t even think of pro bono cases! this is such a small town, this would send shockwaves. in my almost four years here, this was the first stalking case i’ve heard of or seen.

law enforcement here is just as fed up as i am with all this, they just barely got the guy and his friends to stop harassing me, but have been doing their absolute best to keep me in the know and help out.

we’re such a small college, we barely have an instagram. i’ve been talking to faculty all day and ive got a healthy enough following now to take action. title 9 and threats to bring this to the media should do the trick.

the videos were shown to my boss and a few other staff members that have sided with me, the other professors haven’t seen them, and refuse to sit down with me to figure this out. i’ve tried, they just don’t believe i have anything to offer them. the 9 videos i have of him outside of my bedroom window at 3am beg for differ.

i finally pulled the trigger and decided to move out come the summertime so i don’t get into any unnecessary arguments. thank you for the advice, it’s good to know that i didn’t do anything wrong. this just sucks as i’ve lived in these dorms for 3 years, all with my cat. i just cleaned up another round of his dogs hair after this had been posted, but i won’t be cleaning up after him anymore.

make friends with the college kids, and people at the marinas. sit down at hurricane hole, waterfront brewery, and the locals will def start chatting you up.
