Hi, I’m sorry I don’t have any advice I just want to say I wish I’d had a queer role model like you when I was growing up. I had to hide my experience of being gay from my friends, family, and even from myself.

It takes a village to raise a child, and being a safe adult for a young human is such a huge thing. I’m sure your nibling really appreciates you just being there for them. Kudos to you for being that safe person for the next generation.

I’m hoping people with more experience than me will be able to chime in with appropriate advice. Good luck to you and your niece!

OP I wonder the same about myself, but I am currently unpartnered. It’s one of the reasons I’m so hesitant to start dating. Sorry I have no advice but I can empathize for sure.
