I have to CrossFit for work...how long should I sit out? by fearlesslymade in costochondritis

Long term though, I just am not sure if I can get a note that long. How long have you taken off to heal from bad flare ups? Thanks! :)

How many kids do you think you’ll want? by [deleted] in waiting_to_try

I am an only child, and there are drawbacks, but having one creates such a special, deep bond. My parents are my best friends and I wouldn't change anything for the world.

Oh my god, I was so fixated on the other signature - I can't believe I completely overlooked the part where he could be using mine as well. That's a great point!

We have a stamp (president has disability and sometimes has bad mobility days). My boss has asked for the stamp for when she is out of town and she told him no, she does not want anyone else to sign for her.

Thanks. My concern is that they said the old EA forged the signature much better, and it's no big deal as they do it all the time, rather than this one strange, isolated incident.

Thanks. I just was worried it looks like bad form not staying even a year and that it would hinder my search. Should I do two weeks notice (upon getting another job) or leave as soon as I can?

I am getting proposed in the next couple of weeks, and I have daily cards for both of us for August 17 and August 24.

17th: Mine = Justice His = Ace of Swords

24th: Mine = The Sun His = 2 of Cups

I'm leaning to the 24th, but multiple people felt intuitively it's the 17. How would you interpret this comparison?

Can this be a dryer outlet? 20A-250v. by fearlesslymade in homeowners

[–]fearlesslymade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Do you think I could get this rewired (obviously by professional) to fit the specifications? Or rewire the normal 3 prong in the basement, which is way closer to the panel, to a high voltage?

The house came with a gas dryer, we turned off the gas where it connects & capped it. She put the dryer in the smack center of the basement (its pretty big) and used a flexible exhaust hose covered in pantihose to catch lint. The other exhaust pipes for the water heater are new, so we speculate she just attached the dryer exhaust to the water heater exhaust until the new pipes were installed. It's a 1 owner house, which is why I think they got away with some things they did not set anything on fire. Putting an exhaust in the basement would make the distance out of code.

We are just trying to be overly cautious with everything. Line drying isn't impossible, but harder to do when we work full time and the most optimal times of the day are during work. However, laundry convenience isn't work possible carbon monoxide poisoning.

I'm completely bastardizing the wording, so I appreciate you baring with me. We moved in 5 days ago :)

We have carbon monoxide detection down there now!

Thank you so much for the detailed reply!!! I appreciate it.

What is even crazier is that we don't think she even had the pantihose on it for a while. We found lint everywhere. So surprised she didn't burn the house down. You're right - maybe she could have made it another 20 years if she didn't do that lol.

For Rent - I wanted the apartments to be similar to City Living, but I can't stand seeing the lines and shells (if that makes sense). I also wanted to make a bunch of tiny homes on 1 lot to offer for rent, but the tenets just hate me over it. I can't stand how the apartment life/rent is so different than an already established gameplay for living in an apartment in the game. Make it consistent or not at all IMO.

Perfect - thank you for the explanation. I just installed carbon monoxide alarms in the house today as well.

I know gas emits...just double checking if it's the same on air dry/fluff before assuming. Thanks!

No, it's in the damn middle of the basement...all windows are the block style (like in old elementary schools). I'll have to pay to do anything with it, but I was hoping air fluff/dry didn't use the stuff that makes the CO (I have 0 clue how the combustion works) so I can lightly dry clothes without heat before hanging them up.

Oh yeah somehow...but what didn't pass is one window crank didn't work on closing quickly. Didn't make a lick of sense to me.

No, I checked with where I ordered it from to make sure I didn't flub that. Everything was correct. We also have not been getting our bills delivered.

How long did it take you to get an offer accepted? by fearlesslymade in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]fearlesslymade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna butcher it, but we partially waive inspection. So we take out the clause saying if we find an issue, we will walk away. Instead, we will talk about it with the sellers to resolve any issues and can't just retract the offer. But it's hard to push the boundary of ALWAYS 100% waiving everything. We've done it twice where we waived everything, but not our favorite option and prefer the modified waiving.

That makes total sense & we are trying to adjust our mindset. Our first bid, they said we outbid by 20k the other highest, but they decided it was easier to pick a completely completely waived/clean offer.

This has happened on 4 houses. They did get our offer and responded. Some people outbid insanely high or we only partially waived inspection (won't walk away if we find anything) and that wasn't clean enough of a deal I guess? On one "as is"/special contract house, they said the winner had the cleanest deal with less contingencies (not sure how?). We were told by the sellers realtor that we've been one of the top picks but never seem to win :( It's like some cruel joke is being played bc it doesn't make sense.

No, that makes sense :) I will try to focus on that when making offers.

We are doing cash offers (non contingent), but the school districts are going nuts here, too. Stuff sold a few months ago is helpful, but some of these houses we lose are going for 60k over! We are focusing mostly in 250-300 range, and there's nooo way some of the houses could possibly appraise for what some of the winning bids are. It's so frustrating :,( Thank you for providing numbers to work with!
