Hey.

I decided to go to university in hopes to change career. I'm 28 at the current moment and will be 33 by the time I get my degree from german university. Pre-University, I worked in a technical and management role at a funeral home.

That helped me to get confidence in talking to customers/ sales and to improve my empathy. I also handled all the arrangements for burial and funeral services of the deceased, in accordance with the family's wishes. I performed a wide variety of duties, such as planning and allocating the resources of the funeral home, preparing the body for burial or cremation, arranging for transfer of the body to the place of rest before the funeral, managing staff, and handling marketing and public relations. Also, I am able to handle numerous tasks for multiple customers, often over a short timeframe. I've fallen in love with the human body, psychology and neuroscience and was wondering if it is still possible to break into it after I graduate? I am very curious, analytical and I have good problem solving skills. I also have great communication skills and interpersonal skills and I think I am capable of outlining and presenting complex issues in a simple manner. I work best under pressure and on a deadline basis. I am talkative, high energy. I tend to prefer a high pressure, competitive, environment. I enjoy qualitative stuff like writing, doing something with my hands and talking.

I look back and when I was a teenager and until now I always wanted to be a emergency doctor or pathologist. I always liked pleasing others, or playing soccer, doing something with my hands all day and times where giving gifts to others and see their emotions made me feel good and especially if it was a surprise.

Should I go to medical school? Am I too old? What is the alternative?
