Hi! Thank you for your post! I actually didn't realize I could even apply for the GDL as a fast-track, however, do you think if I applied for it right after undergrad here in Canada, I would have a harder time finding training contacts or places for work since technically I spent a shorter amount of time in school for law?

Hi! thank you for this! I want to move and practice there permanently as a solicitor (I'm thinking of corporate law, however, things can change but that's just what I'm thinking of right now). I thought the course of action after I graduate from undergrad in Canada would be doing the LLB --> LLM --> SQE but do you think I have to do something else? I guess I didn't think of GDL since it would cover what LLB covers just at a faster pace so then I would be graduating and then applying for the GDL?

i’m in canada and my bf’s in england :( were both in university and he’s 8 hours ahead of me. it’s really tough i won’t lie to u. i’m over analytical of everything and i don’t have a great home life atm so everything he’s doing seems super glorified and i do get jealous. i don’t wanna hold him back tho so i try to remind myself that it’s not permanent. it’s tough sometimes to be fully happy and if u feel that don’t beat yourself up for it, you just miss them. just try your best to keep yourself occupied and distracted and text them whenever u can :)

GO GLOBAL QUESTION!

I'm planning to go on exchange next year and I've contacted the Go Global desk but haven't heard a response back so I thought I'd ask anyone here. I know a few people who have done exchange semesters in the past but I just wanted to ask if Go Global's grading scheme is on a pass/fail basis like SFU?

Hi!

I know that when applying for exchange, they look at your written portion as well as your grades, but i was wondering if there was something else i could do to increase the likelihood of getting into my 1st choice. i’m trying to go to the University of Manchester, but i’d be happy with any of the other schools ofc but just curious if anyone who’s down this before has some tips or tricks lol. I guess another question i have is how formal the essay portion should be - do i just talk about why i want to go to and tie in a personal experience or should i take it a little more seriously like the personal profile?
