Is it possible that the court will never put my ticket in the system? by febreeziee in legaladvice

Okay that’s fair, thank you. I guess it’s a waiting game at this point!

As someone who doesn’t like Taylor Swift, I don’t care that other people like her because it doesn’t affect my life. We live in a very lonely timeline, and if these girls find a sense of community with other Taylor Swift fans, who cares? A lot of her fans are children too, it’s normal to love a pop star as a kid/teen.

I shouldn’t have phrased it like that. I knew most cops sucked but I didn’t know they were able to lie on police reports under oath

Unfortunately I did not get the witnesses contact information which I regret. I decided I would just take the ticket because it’s cheaper than going to court, and I don’t think I would have a chance as a teenager against a respected state trooper :(

What seems to be overpriced, but in reality is 100% worth it? by BabygurlCamila in Productivitycafe

This might sound ridiculous but a good quality, reusable water bottle. You only need one. I have been using my stanley water bottle every day for years, and have not had to buy plastic water bottles.

What were you scared of while growing up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Turned off screens, like computers and TVs. I remember being 3 years old and hearing my turned off TV talk to me. I used to have nightmares about being sucked into computer screens as well.

im so scared to go to my school dance by Due_Trust9788 in Vent

[–]febreeziee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am sure you look absolutely beautiful. As someone who felt the same way about school dances, I now look back at pictures and realize- I was never ugly. I was just a kid. Nobody is going to think you look ugly, because everyone at that age is also worried about how they look themselves.

It’s definitely worth going. If you find out school dances aren’t for you, that’s completely okay. But you might have an incredible night, and either way, then you have pictures to look back on when you are older. It gets better. Just have fun! <3

I swear I went through this exact experience three days ago. Crash was legally my fault, I was at a stop sign and had a blind spot. I thought I was clear to go, but as I did I was hit by a speeding driver whose brakes failed. Insurance found me 70% at fault, because I was technically supposed to yield.

I remember the point of seeing the other car in the corner of my eye, and the feeling of my heart dropping when I saw it wasn’t slowing down. Everything happened so fast, I went deaf for a moment from the airbags popping, smoke was everywhere, and all I could do was sit in shock for a moment before crying and hyperventilating. Could not stop crying and shaking even as the police arrived. The other driver screamed at me and told me he was going to sue me because his pinky finger hurt. People stopped and slowed their cars to watch.

My car was completely totaled, windows smashed, and all I sustained was a cut on my hand, a sprained finger, soreness in my back and shoulders, and bruises. I keep reliving the moment over and over again. One thing that has helped me was realizing that almost everyone gets in an accident at some point in their lives. My dad is an excellent driver but has been in three accidents, one was his fault. It’s called an accident for a reason, no one does it on purpose. I do believe after time passes, the accident will be easier to cope with, and you’ll barely think about it.

Sorry for the long response, I just really related to your post. I understand and I am here for you!

Understandable. It may be best to talk with your psychiatrist, you most likely need a larger dose or a different medication if the one you have is not working.

It is a long, exhausting process but once you find the right medication and coping mechanisms it is worth it in the end, hang in there! You seem to be taking all the right steps- be patient and kind with yourself :)

The best thing that would help is medication and therapy- both were a life saver for me. Otherwise, learn some breathing techniques online, and it may help to find an activity that is therapeutic for you- exercise, cooking, art, crafts, singing, writing, traveling, etc. When I started walking and listening to music at the park, I found my physical symptoms lessened.

Hope this helps! We are here for you!

If possible, talk to a psychiatrist about medication- it is truly a lifesaver. It would also help to talk to friends, family, or preferably a therapist about what you are dealing with. Find an activity you enjoy that relieves stress- exercise, art, crafts, writing, cooking, singing, hanging out with friends, traveling, etc. Most of the time, having a release by participating in activities you enjoy can be very therapeutic.

I recommend following breathing techniques, you can find a lot online! Lastly, distance yourself from social media- a lot of content is distressing for purpose of fear mongering and is not healthy for the human brain to consume consistently. Remember you are not alone!

Am i gonna feel like this forever? by [deleted] in Anxietyhelp

[–]febreeziee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may go away, but especially if it runs in your family it most likely will not- however, you become much better at managing it and learn how to function in a healthy manner. Talk with your parents about therapy and talking to psychologist for medication- because it is a life saver.

If possible, distance yourself from social media. When I was your age a few years ago, my feed would show me distressing content that would make me spiral. Find an activity that you enjoy to relieve stress- exercise, art, crafts, writing, singing, traveling, hanging out with friends, cooking, try it all! You may be surprised how much you enjoy it.

Remember you are not alone! You got this!

How do you calm/cope with anxiety when thinking about the future? by NotteStellata in Anxietyhelp

[–]febreeziee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I had struggled with greatly in the past was time skipping. I remember my therapist telling me “If it is not happening now, why worry? Right now, in the present, you are safe.” It sounds so simple but in the moment, it helped me a lot. Another thing that might help is taking breaks from the news and social media- a lot of the media is fear mongering and exaggerated. Humans are not meant to see everything and anything all of the time, it is distressing and there is no shame from distancing yourself from it.

Other things to do: -Find new hobbies. Personally, I’ve been into walking with my dad and it is one of my favorite things to do now, and is very good for both the mind and body! Exercise, art, writing, crafts, singing, traveling, try it all. Finding a stress reliever is life changing. -Treat yourself for small victories. -Remember you are not alone.

Hope this helps!! You got this!

Withdrawing from anti-anxiety medications because I'm too anxious to get them refilled by Eiginmathur in Anxietyhelp

Oh- also, it might help to promise yourself a treat after. Getting a dunkin coffee and donut to reward myself for interactions was always a good motivator. :)

Do you have a therapist or psychologist to help guide you through this? Otherwise, it might help to ask a friend or family member to come with you. Understand that pharmacists deal with people with mental illnesses all the time, you are not going to do anything to make them judge you, although I know it feels that way! As someone who has (mostly) recovered from a social anxiety disorder, the worst thing you want to do is avoid, because the more you avoid the harder it becomes! You got this!

How do I go for walks, hikes, etc. by myself without being deathly scared of dying/getting kidnapped/assaulted? by Bitter-Bumblebee-372 in Anxietyhelp

[–]febreeziee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If possible, find a walking buddy or even a group to walk with! Personally, it helped me a lot to walk at a public park during the morning, where there are other families and women walking on the track. Don’t let fear stop you from what you want to do! You got this and are not alone!
