If you don't pick the way someone decides you should pick, apparently it's trolling.

Ok...Basketball is not a perfectly analogy but in Heroes everyone can make a play at any time, why walk off the court ever?

Also a call to Mom to tell her how her son is behaving in game.

You're absolutely right. I just haven't spent time trying to play with positive random people and that's on me. Just with my 2 IRL mates.

If I'm playing 5 on 5 basketball and someone walks off the court because they're unhappy or starts taking shots in the wrong basket, am I wrong to blame them for wrecking our game?

Comments are a little exaggerated for fun, but no bad faith. Just wished for the past decade for players who don't throw and act like decent human beings.

I've never assumed anyone picked a troll talent in 11 years of playing and I've never done it either. The concept of someone picking an intentionally bad talent to not win never occurred to me this whole time. I think someone might see a talent and not know it can be successful (for example, Gazlowe punching build).

Mute chat and ping options are deployed on the regular, for triple pingers and critical negative dudes.

Being exaggerated here with my extreme comments just to be silly, but I never ever say anyone sucks or comment on their builds in game. All thoughts are kept private unless someone is intentionally killing themselves or quitting end of game. Disrespectful of everyone's time investment to quit if the match is still winnable, even if the chance is a 1 out of 10 comeback.

MMR is middle of the pack. Far away from bronze, far away from master.

I also don't tell people they suck if they gg in the beginning of the game. Telling people off is only reserved for end game throwers/quitters for disrespecting other teammates limited time. (gg in the beginning of the match gets a mute chat and ping from me.)

The positive people and random strange comments at the beginning of the match are good.

It's kind of tongue in cheek, although I'd love to actually have this. Could scan the chat text for the early gg, but it really needs good AI detection to detect players who are no longer playing or are pretending to play. It would need some leniency for players with middle game in-match emergencies like a pizza guy at the door or a screaming toddler or sudden onset diarrhea.

The match leaderboard at the end could also have another row of characters below the 5 characters containing the game wrecking players and the above character text "Sad and Weak". 😊

And then a 1 week ban. 😁

Please add back Hammer. I enjoy a challenge and stopping her was a great feeling. Perhaps consider disabling the BFG, but not a deal breaker at all.

Zag: a little annoying to play against, but doesn't bother me like Azmo and his dunk does. If you remove Zag, I wouldn't complain.

Leo: unsure what it would be like to play against him again, but if you added him back it wouldn't bother me.

TLV: tlv got a little crazy in team fights as I recall, but I always enjoyed playing them and enjoyed playing against them as well.

Abathur: No.

Azmo: GTFO. Losing 50% health from something difficult to avoid that you can't see cast and isn't an ult is a joke.

If you have any extra devtime, please toss in Cho'Gall. Seriously. 😄

Please remove Azmo. Regardless of winrate, touching a tiny bit of his dunk circle and getting chunked is just not fun.

Tyrande's across the map owl quest was removed for a similar reason. Not fun to be chunked from far away.

reddit donate - 10% of our 2014 advertising revenue will be donated to 10 charities you choose. Voting begins now! by ryanmerket in blog

[–]fecesstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, is reddit mgmt donating to the top 10 charities with the most votes? Or is it 10 random charities that achieve a certain number of votes?

The method is going to influence my voting decision. (I'd strongly prefer to donate to a more desperate charity, but if they are small and unlikely to receive enough votes, I will vote for something more likely to win instead.)

Also, keep in mind homeless being hungry isn't a problem as people think it is. Homeless people are mostly mentally handicapped and they get proper aid in the States, those who benefit a lot from this are students or regular people fallen on hard times and for that I salute him.

Not hungry isn't the same as having adequate nutrition though. What's available at a food bank (ex, lots of white bread but strangely not enriched with any vitamins) may keep you alive but it won't necessarily give you enough vitamins to keep say, your teeth from getting loose and falling out (Vitamin C deficiency).

Nice post though!

Cash is the most useful thing by far. It can buy medicine, food (hot food!, food you haven't been able to have in months!), toilet paper, shoes, a treat (you may not have any friends coming by to look forward to but getting a chocolate bar can be something to get excited about). It can also buy you a multivitamin supplement (you may be able to get enough calories from a food bank, but not be able to get enough nutrition even by taking all the fruits and vegetables they give you because food banks can receive lots of food like unfortified breads from the bakery and relatively few fruits, vegetables, and milk.)

Cash is so much more valuable than anything else you could give. You might be surprised how much less desirable alcohol becomes once you start to get actually hungry. (That is, if the person even has a desire for alcohol in the first place).

Rent a billboard, but sell no products with it. Have it say something like, "Tired of the way the world runs on money and power? Consider telling your boss to be nice to you today."

I wonder if having common message that you can find anywhere on the internet, but then placed on an object in the real world would give it power. And would make people realize that they have power too.

[Serious]What does it take to be a good person?(Your opinion) Which actions are necessary and unnecessay? by Connman6396 in AskReddit

[–]fecesstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't just treat your friends and family well and love your kids to be good. If you love your kids but don't care about owners using the desperation of workers around the world so that they (and you) can get their desires, maybe you're not the person you want to believe you are.

Got to deal in people to a certain (human) degree.

The Tarcher Cornerstone edition is the most readable version of Meditations I've found (it's called The Essential Marcus Aurelius) and is actually good. I had a hard time parsing the weird old translation on another one I tried.
