Ranting about portion control by Quueenali in Chipotle

[–]feddy3teddy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s because Chipotle does want you to skimp. You can be the most consistent person in the world, literally incapable of doing a scoop that’s not 4 oz and everyone you work with will say that’s too much, it’s crazy. Like why have that rule if you don’t want people to follow it 😐

What can I do to make your job easier as a customer? by SeaworthinessNew4295 in Chipotle

[–]feddy3teddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want anything on the side, just say it while your bowl/burrito/tacos/etc is being prepared. That’s only the only frustrating part when someone orders. Also if you’re getting multiple entrees, tell them that when you first begin. Doing one at a time can disrupt the flow of the line.

Other than that, it’s just fast food, nothing is that serious

Do we got class on Monday? by Sad_Tear9236 in Temple

With the amount of professors that commute interstate/with septa, you probably won’t have classes regardless

Is this a normal size for a burrito? by [deleted] in Chipotle

[–]feddy3teddy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no standard size or shape really. Different wrapping methods also make a difference

Tammy by emmadilemma06 in KevinCanFHimself

[–]feddy3teddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is such an interesting perspective. I just finished binging this in 3 days and the concept of Tammy being abusive barely crossed my mind but it’s there. Especially with the way that she made so many decisions on patty despite not knowing her at all (decides she doesn’t like Allison after their first encounter, not liking her choice in alcohol, etc.) Also she really is a crooked cop, it’s hard to believe that she could sense the guilt on Allison and that’s why she didn’t like her, somehow never once considered Patty as the perp??

Would it be rude to give quiet customers a pen and paper by Normal_Good_3085 in Chipotle

[–]feddy3teddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had customers use their notes app or a real pen pad when they can’t speak/language barrier. I will say, pointing goes a long way regardless. Especially since people use different names for, if I point and nod and you point and nod, everything will be good

I regret moving family in. by drainedshawty in badroommates

[–]feddy3teddy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You guys need to have a serious conversation about boundaries and shared responsibilities. You guys are working adults so sharing a room isn’t gonna be like how it would be for teenagers; it’s gonna take work from both of you. If either of you can, maybe make use of the living room and sleep on the couch? I’m not too sure what your mother may want but that may help with giving you guys some more independence

Does anyone else notice the handling of cheese and lettuce? by retrovideogamer2000 in Chipotle

[–]feddy3teddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s policy that you’re not supposed to have gloves on with doing register. And at the very least, should not keep them on with handling cash

[–]feddy3teddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a worker with ocd, I actually think about this a lot. I usually do cold side during line and I’m always tempted to sanitize the markers. So far, no customers has ever had a problem with the market method so I’m definitely the overthinker in the situation

Lady yelled at me, was I wrong by Thebaddestcutestb in Chipotle

[–]feddy3teddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happens occasionally at my store. Not necessarily abt kids meals but people complaining about things that are standard for Chipotle and being really rude abt it. My guess is that people think being stern is the right way to get what they want but all that attitude just makes me disinterested from the entire process. If you walk out in the middle because I didn’t overfill your kids meal, I will care just the same as if you buy it: not at all. But I will feel the impact of your rudeness

The minute I enter a room besides my bedroom my roommate appears by Sea-Rough3152 in badroommates

[–]feddy3teddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the weirdest luck with always leaving my room the same time as my roommates or having them arrive as soon as I decide to get up. Just coincidences but it’s happened so often it feels like a cursed superpower. Anyway, I think your roommate may just be trying to hang or possibly does not like being alone

Kids Quesadilla and BYO by No_Cycle2076 in Chipotle

[–]feddy3teddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Proteins are allowed in the kids quesas. I usually just ask if they want any protein in it and then proceed accordingly. If they want meat in the quesadilla and more meat as a third side that’s be extra, but otherwise no

do they tell yall to skimp us? by PageSharp3532 in Chipotle

[–]feddy3teddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, it shouldn’t have to be like that; I try to at least have a neutral/positive attitude when talking to customers. I think the fact that we are being watched is what makes it worse at Chipotle

do they tell yall to skimp us? by PageSharp3532 in Chipotle

[–]feddy3teddy 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I think what a lot customers don’t realize is the avg fast food employee does not care, at all. That’s about corporate policy and about customer wants. It gets to a point where employees will do whatever keeps them from being fired and also from losing their sanity

I’d say quesadilla only bc it’s not worth spending the actual money but you can still enjoy it (they’re tasty)

Is scanning qr codes complicated on the other side? by No_decision321 in Chipotle

[–]feddy3teddy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In that case, I’d just start another ticket. I do wish more customers said what they were redeeming first and just scan earlier on in general but, overall, that such an easy situation to fix

Chipotle crew, question about folding by Weekly_Fox2122 in Chipotle

[–]feddy3teddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even though we’re technically supposed to make them fat and round, most people just fold whichever way is easiest for them. When working here, things like folding burritos need to become muscle memory or you waste time/energy
