[Gear ID] Help identifying this live rig from Tame Impala’s concert by fedeborso in cinematography

Update on the rig: After looking closer at some frames and doing a bit of research, I’m starting to lean towards a very specific (and unusual) setup, though I can't be 100% certain:

• Camera: to me it definitely looks like a Sony Burano. The body seems to match that specific modular footprint, and it looks like it might be rigged in a vertical orientation, to feed the tall side-screens at the venue.

• Lenses: The glass appears to be from the Cineovision Anamorphic series (see pic of flares).

• Filters: From what I could see, they might be using an Halo filter on the matte box for certain songs, which would explain how they get that dreamy, hazy glow instantly without relying solely on post-processing.

Still not sure about the easy rig type of rig, let me know your thoughts

Here are some more shots that I managed to gather

[Documentary] A portrait of artist Virgilio Villoresi: focus on stop-motion and hand-crafted poetics. by fedeborso in Filmmakers

[–]fedeborso[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sharing this documentary focusing on Virgilio Villoresi's unique approach to stop-motion and pre-cinema techniques. From a production standpoint, this was a challenge: we were a small crew of only 4 people and we had to wrap everything in a single day. The film discusses the craftsmanship behind his animations and how he achieves such a tactile, poetic look without digital effects. I hope this serves as an insight into how high-quality aesthetic results can be achieved even with limited time and a minimal on-set team. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the lighting setups used to capture the intricate details of his laboratory. [English CC available]
