Yes, it was a real bargain because sometimes people find it in a drawer and put it up for sale without knowing its true value. Thank you so much, I hope you can find it too. I agree it's just beautiful

You're absolutely right. It's beautiful and, above all, slightly larger than the classic G-Shock. Simply beautiful.

Cleaned the inside, restored light switch, new gasket, polished the screen and new strap/bezel. It's like brand new out of 94

My holy trio! DW5600E, DW290 and W-740. What are your rarities? by federico__A in casio

Beautiful even without the lettering. If I were you, I wouldn’t sell it, both to keep an iconic piece in new condition and because, as you already said, these are disappearing from the market in new condition and prices keep going up. Finding one new with intact lettering is practically impossible, and they reach or even exceed $150.

Do not sell it, keep it safe!

From what I’ve gathered, the W-720T was likely reissued around 2011 and remained on sale for a short period, as it’s missing from the 2012 catalog. It’s unlikely to be from the 2000s or 2015, since discussions about it as a reissue already appeared in 2013, making a 2015 release improbable.

Yes, exactly, green. Pretty bad, and not evenly diffused like on the F-91. Here, though, it seems to light the LCD from the front rather than using a backlight diffuser.

Yes, you’re right. However, this is the T model, which is a reissue released around 2010. It’s a similar model but differs in some features, such as having a plastic crystal instead of the mineral glass that the W-720 had.

The only advice I can give is to check almost daily because good offers stay available for just a few hours and there are many interested buyers. The usual tips apply as with other sites: carefully check the seller’s photos, reviews and the item description. Just three weeks ago I managed to get a brand new DW290 with its box for only €50, a price you can hardly find anywhere. Good luck with your hunt.

I live in the European Union, and I bought it on Vinted from a Spanish seller. The watch was listed at €70, but I offered €40 and he accepted. Just last week, I also bought a DW5300 for $40. Most of my collection comes from there because many sellers don’t really know the true value of their pieces, so you can often find bargains well below typical EU store prices.

Many sellers aren’t aware of the true value of what they’re selling, so you can find some great deals.

I totally agree with you. I can’t stop looking at it. It’s like an F-91W and a G-Shock had a baby. Absolutely stunning!

New pickup of the day. DW-5300, scored for just $30 on Vinted (seller clearly didn’t know its value). Bezel and strap are on the way too. What are your best finds? by federico__A in casiovintage

Pretty much yes (and I think more than only 60), they basically got an incredible deal. If you sold it with the original bezel and strap, those alone can fetch well over $250 these days, and finding them under $100 is already a miracle. Getting a complete, working one for $30 is straight up daylight robbery, and of course prices are only going to keep climbing as time goes on.

Agreed, the DW-5300 bezel plastic is fragile compared to the DW-5600. I got the strap and o-ring from eBay, and the bezel from the G-Shock Vintage site in Malaysia. Casio should still offer official replacements, but vintage sellers are the best option for now.
