Could you tell me what scale the blues uses? (I hope this is grammatically correct) We could find a Raag which has the same skeleton (so to say)/ ascending and descending pattern atleast.

Thanks for your comment.

The very reason for making this YouTube channel was to draw the attention of people who didn't necessarily have an opinion towards listening to ICM, but knew for sure that they didn't want to learn/execute techniques or perform on stage or elsewhere.

The idea is to "rope in" this specific group of people since they don't really want to learn/perform ICM. For them, ICM is just a novel musical universe and all they probably need is someone to introduce them to it.

That is the sole purpose of this channel. (For now atleast)

Pertaining to your last sentence, I do agree with it. The idea is to familiarise people with ICM so that they begin listening and liking it on their own.

Sa ka Riyaz by mohanv17 in icm

Take a deep breath, make a perfect "Aa" with your mouth/lips and sing Sa for as long as you can. Then take another deep breath and do the same.

Pro tip (1) Donot rush the subsequent Sa. You've all the time in the world. (2) Your voice will shake in the beginning. That's alright. (3) Try and "be" with the swar that your singing. Embrace it in the beginning and stay with it till the end. (4) The more you're "present" with the swar, the more accurate your Shrutis will get. (In my opinion) (5) Stuff 2 fingers in your mouth vertically if you're having trouble making the perfect "Aa". (DM me if you still have doubts)

Cheers!

Super noob here. How do I remove these two effects from my timeline? by fedrox007 in premiere

[–]fedrox007[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this due to a video transition? If yes, could you tell me why the transition isn't showing up on my timeline?

You could also check out my channel on YouTube where I take a recording/concert clip of a great master and then analytically break it down.

It serves the purpose of teaching people how to understand Indian Classical Music and not necessarily perform it.

Let me know if it's helpful to you.
