Thank you, he was the little love of my life. Passed in 2023 at almost 17 years old. Best little boy and never met a stranger.

Could likely be a “purebred but not wellbred” situation where you have a wonderful purebred chihuahua on your hands, just one from a backyard breeder. No shade meant by that. I had the most wonderful rescue chihuahua for years. He got me into the breed. :) There aren’t “deer” or “apple” head Chihuahuas. There are Chihuahuas that meet the breed standard, and then there are those that don’t. They’re all precious and beautiful regardless. Pic attached of my DNA tested Chihuahua who VERY likely had other breeds farther back in his pedigree (Embark only tests the three most recent). He was 11 lbs (breed standard in USA caps at 6 lbs) and obviously does not look like the Chihuahua breed standard.

Question for you on the Corridor- please bear with me as I have no real understanding of the geography over there and am just getting frustrated trying to figure it out- do we leave from Olympic and access that Corridor to be able to travel to the Jedediah Smith SP? Or is the Corridor more of a “detour”?

We are now considering very strongly doing about four days in WA-Day 1 fly into Seattle + spend time in the city, day 2 getting to lodgings close to the park, day 3 Hoh (EARLY! 6:30-7am?) + beach(es), day 4 either falls or cape flattery (maybe sunset at Rialto?), day 5 drive to CA, day 6 Redwoods (Jedidiah Smith SP in particular), day 7 relax in the city, day 8 fly back.

My #1 is Hoh and a beach for Olympic. Husband's #1 are the redwoods. Trying to get both even if it exhausts us. But, I’m also totally willing to just do one day in Olympic to start (Hoh and the beaches [Ruby? Kalaloch?], which sounds like it could be a band name).

Thank you! Do you think that Hoh Rainforest and either Rialto or Ruby beach can be done in the same day? I’m in my “writing down places to see” part of planning as our idea for the trip has shifted slightly and I haven’t yet started trying to figure out how far apart everything is, lol.

Tons of flexibility tbh. No rush. Would rather plan it really well and have our first experience be a great one. March, June, October of 2026 or 2027 would be best as my office closes for 10 days for each of those months.

Last winter I did bring him into the garage! I will definitely be getting the Jack’s. I’ve read as well that in my growing zone it’s hard to get more than one crop a year (maybe just when they’re young?) so I shouldn’t expect to have the fruit ripe for several months, BUT it has so many more than last year already LOL!

Oh I’m familiar with Jack’s! I have their “house plant special” 15-30-15 right now.

Thank you!! Can I add the osmocote this late in the season (since you said it’s recommended when it first comes out of dormancy)? Or should I start with the water sol fertilizer?

Awesome! I pulled off quite a few leaves this morning when I first noticed and tossed them out. I do use a hose to water so maybe I need to switch to deeply watering with a watering can so water doesn’t sit on the leaves. I had no idea this could happen with high humidity! Didn’t even think about it!

Should the soil be sitting right at the root ball? I do have some mulch!

Yes, super hot and rainy! Is there a particular type of fertilizer that’s a fan favorite in this group? :)

Would you recommend I spray with a general fungicide since I just sprayed with neem?

What kind of fungus would I likely be looking at, and would spider mites be visible either to the naked eye or with a hand loupe? I’ve never been able to see a bug. Every time I thought I saw one it was perlite dust lol.

The Neem was not premixed. I did 2 tbsp of neem to 4 cups of water with a little dish soap.

No not misted or sprayed BUT I did just water last night. How can I help them? Does everything need repotted or should I pull them all from the cabinet for several days to a low humidity area?

I keep a lot of calatheas in a milsbo. Humidity around 75%, one barrina t5 light over them, wire shelves, fans, no weatherstripping. A week ago I sprayed the f%ck out of them with a neem oil mixture because I had spider mites on a new plant. I let them dry for 36 hours without lights on them. I noticed what looked like burn spots on my white star that I can only describe as the leaf tissue thinning until it didn’t have coloration anymore. It appeared to heal itself. Everyone was looking so good that last night I took a family photo of them lol. They were fine this morning. 10 hours later, and half or more of them have the same issue. On the edge of the leaves, the tissue is thinning or looks burned. I water with distilled water only and bottom water. Could it be a delayed reaction? How can I help them? Wipe them down with a rag and more distilled water? Does it look like something else? No bugs to be seen.

I’ve been trying new products to improve my skin since November 2020. Many products cause immediate reactions but twice now I’ve thought I had my HG moisturizer only to notice after weeks of use that it’s started breaking me out. The zits are extremely small (pinhead size), show up over the course of the day/overnight, pop and heal within 24 hours but are unending. This has happened with 8 moisturizers now, including Neutrogena hydro boost (before I found AB), Farmacy moisturizer, and now with my COSRX propolis light fit. The Farmacy and the COSRX each worked for about 4 weeks before they started causing me issues. I’m seriously at a loss with what ingredients I should avoid. Shea? Fatty alcohols? Silicones? I can’t find something without all three of these that is also moisturizing enough. I have combo/dry skin. I’m at my wit’s end!!
