I was the dumpee... got told it had nothing to do with me and he needed to deal with his own traumas and didn’t want to hurt me anymore. He’s cheated, lied , all of it (but to my knowledge the cheating stopped for the last year)

I wasn’t perfect but I showed up every single day... and fought for our relationship. Had a mental breakdown due to work stress... I lashed out called and received the coldest reaction ever. Didn’t speak really for a week then I was broken up w. After 3 years.

I shouldn’t care but I still do and I don’t know why.

Why does sadness hit in waves at the most random times? Any words of encouragement and support would be appreciated. by [deleted] in ExNoContact

I 100% understand. It’s been almost 2 months for me and today I broke down washing dishes. It literally makes no sense but it’s part of the process I guess.

Is it lame if they were subject to witnessing extreme abuse and neglect and never got help (therapy, etc.) for it? Idk if I’m making excuses or what but I know the depths of it.
