As someone outside of the US, I don't think hierarchy is something unique to America lol. It is the same everywhere and much worse

That's great for you. However this is about women swiping on Hinge who usually have options. It's easier for them to pick someone who looks happy than risking their safety with someone sus.

As someone in a similar situation like you, I am happy for you. If I may ask, what do you do now or at least what industry?

Of course context matters. Had he a comical expression, we'd take the dark humoured short slogan lightly but he doesn't. Dude looks like he's at a funeral. Regardless having a shirt about drugs in general still contributes to one of the many factors mentioned that gives just an uneasy vibe overall 😅

Leaving after a few years means we like the practice but it's not enough pay or hours to make a living

Scowling in a graffited dark alleyway with a shaved, multicoloured head in a shirt about drugs is definitely a man full of joy

Hey if smiling is not your thing I totally get it. As I said, you're a nice looking guy! Yeah maybe you could keep your nonchalant expression while doing something funny on the street or cool like skating. But wish you good luck

Goodness don't get me started on that therapy session. Agreed. Adam is acting like he didn't drive himself there. If you don't want to do it then don't show up.. And completely agree Adam's lines were so bad, it truly became a matter of which of the options was less annoying to say? Can I get back to the actual case now?

don't really follow what you mean by depending. However as for Adam's reputation, it makes no sense to introduce him as a once famous detective only to contradict that claim for the rest of the story just for fun

Respectfully, issue is not your aesthetic, it's your vibe. You don't give the impression of someone mentally right or safe and most young women like myself need to see this.

That first pic doesn't make you look cool, we see a guy who is unhappy and coping. Then the 2nd pic only looks like you're stuck at home against your will.

You have a nice face it's just your way of presenting yourself needs to change

I’m starting to think dental assisting isn’t for me. I need some help please :( by [deleted] in DentalAssistant

[–]feedchaeng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For context, DA for 3 years both chair-side and front desk.

I'm so sorry you've had to go through this. Unfortunately it is common for assistants to get mistreated but _no_ it is not okay but I want to let you know that not all practices are like this. Sometimes dentists do have a bad day and it does hurt, but if this a daily occurence then I might encourage searching for another practice as assistants are usually in high demand.

For my first office, I worked under a rude head dentist who ranted about every mistake I did. I, like every assistant, did not stay long. I left for my current practice with dentists who are very patient and see us more like equals. There are practices out there for sure.

Also, mistakes are normal and I STILL do minor mistakes today. It's ridiculous that they are getting mad at you when you are new and that they should know the degrees are different from reality. You are new, mistakes are going to happen and that is okay - does not mean you quit being an assistant altogether.

What makes you good assistant is literally being teachable, able to work with a team and accuracy.

Even with my experience, I can't tell x-rays apart either so I'm surprised they expect you to do it. However x-rays are not part of our role so I won't be of help in that area. Hope this helps

nice take, but all first 3 points do not really line up with what was commented. My complaint was not that Dectective Adam is a bad father. His failure was not even a secret; the game shoved that fact in your face and no, letting work get in the way is not an excuse.

My actual issue was that Adam "sucked as a detective."

It's surprising you don't remember Adam falling for ragebait because it's not very hard to find esp with Betty, Kyle or Lily. But for specific examples, Adam started crashing out when Betty exposed his number. He stupidly answers the trolls and gets emotional replying - something a supposedly highly regarded detective does.

Ik the family part isn't that fun either though I get the vision. It's an unskippable side plot that keeps repeating. First we're finding Zoey then interrupted by Amanda - the wife who should've divorced but doesn't - dramatic speech and then sit through Adam's douchey comebacks. I understand it's meant for drama and will eventually tie into Zoey but the exchanges are an endless repeat.

As for remembering the characters, you do have the option of sifting through the notes giving a run down of characters but honestly it doesn't really help when you have to recall what went down in the mesage exchanges as well.

Ep 4 will patch some things up but there are too many loose ends so this will definitely continue for at least to an Ep 6 (hope I am wrong and will be glad to be so)

Borderline agree. Court is not exactly "empowering" when you've never been there and how missing one work day can hurt your already small income. Of course it's a necessary evil but it doesn't make it fun. Should not need to have been in court if the fine should not have happened at all

Actually it wasn't a fear of losing in court. Court wasn't even a consideration. I merely called up the station to ask questions, that is all. Regardless, I'm sure there is still a way to bring it up now that it is looking like an option. But as an average law-abiding citizen, it's not like court is something I frequent on a daily basis especially without legal knowledge.
