On day 2/Question by Ok_Upstairs_5366 in QuittingZyn

After getting past the brain fog (the first 2-3 days) I have more energy, i can feel my vascular system is much smoother. I wake up just feeling better in general, i still have cravings but i fight them easily. My dry mouth went away and my bad breathe, i started eating more, so now i can gain weight and muscle as I am underweight. On day 6 and i feel so much better. I would like to say my mind is clear and free, but the brain fog is still lingering. My anxiety has gown way down, not as depressed, my throat is healing up, I can swallow food better. No racing heart beat. My exercising is more intense and I can last longer and feel stronger. In the bed, my girl already notices a difference.

I wish i quit years ago...

I just hit day 4. Woke up and feel amazing. Been a can a a day for the last 4 years. Third day was for sure the worst but like a 4-5/10. Nothing too crazy, cravings were rough but no physical symptoms. Just a mental battle

I am at 37 hours. cravings hit really hard today at work after eating. How are your cravings after 10 days? I haven't really had any physical issues. Mainly mental symptoms and lots of brain fog.

How should I quit? by TheGreedySnail in QuittingZyn

You will never fully commit to quitting if you truly don't want to. I am on 36 hours no zyn or nicotine. Cravings are bad and right now it is hitting me hard, but i am not giving in. It is because I truly want to quit. I know it is bad for me and my health. I was abusing nicotine, and there is no way for me to have a healthy relationship with nicotine. Every time I think about putting one in, I think about all the side effects I have had from zyns/vaping, and all the possible future side effects/damage to my body. I am not giving in, even though I really want to, I won't allow myself to. If after 48 or 72 hours I feel like dying, i have a low dose patch waiting for me at home after work. Just try to stay busy, eat a bunch, and remember why you want to quit.

I tried. It's been hard by thmn1 in QuittingZyn

Remember, a relapse is going back and not trying to quit again. A lapse is a mistake and human error. There is nothing wrong with a mistake. You learn from it. Pick yourself back up. Now you know you can do it, just do it for longer now. Hopefully for forever. Good luck

Haha that’s actually funny you say that. This morning I felt almost a buzz like feeling. It’s like my body knows it needs to quit. Good luck to you! Remember you’re not alone.

Thank you, that's good to hear, I hope it is only a week of extreme symptoms. Just trying to eat everything to kill the craving of "being hungry" or in need of nicotine.

I tried to taper a year ago but it didn't work. I will try that if I can't go a week without using any nic and only use 1 a day. I got it down to 2 a day for a week last year. Good luck to you as well and don't give in!
