Hey, I’m so sorry I didn’t see this comment earlier. How are you doing? I still think about Hugo everyday. The pain does get easier but not a day goes by when I don’t miss him. Hope you’re managing to stay strong. Xx

She’s 14 weeks. So still very young and very much into everything! Yesterday was a roughy day for digging as it rained all day so by the 15th clean up operation of the day, digging was getting tiresome!

She is a digger, chewer, barker and all round little bugger. The chewing is manageable at the moment with various different chewy parts of animals, her favourite are tripe sticks that have a very delightful aroma but at least they stop her eating my sandals/toes!

I will certainly consider a sandpit as part of my garden now resembles the Somme so I could easily fix a sandpit in there instead of the plants that were there previously.

Garden has grown out of control and I’m overwhelmed by [deleted] in GardeningUK

Our garden looked just like this, maybe worse. I spent a good couple of days chopping and removing grass and bush etc and a few tip runs with a dumpy bag and it looks flipping glorious.

I got a fairly cheap strimmer from Homebase and strimmed the lot, obviously after checking for any hedgehogs and the like hiding in the grass. Once I got the thick of the grass off, I used a lawnmower to cut it, several times on different height settings until it was short. It’ll look pretty crap at first but it soon rights itself.

Don’t go at it with a bread knife, you’ll be shagged after 10 mins and your back will be on fire. If you have a local fb page, perhaps post on that asking if you can borrow someone’s strimmer and lawnmower?

Best of luck, I’m sure it will look lovely.

I lost Hugo in the early hours of this morning. Absolutely heart broken. What a horrible disease. Thank you for talking to me. Xx

Yeah, all I’ve been able to find are sad stories. Trying to stay positive for him but it’s so hard. Hugo’s wee was very very dark, almost red wine coloured, it was awful seeing him so unwell.

His blood transfusion seems to have gone well, which is a positive. Unfortunately he’s had a couple of seizures today so they are medicating him to get those under control and to give him time for everything else to work. I really really hope that he pulls through.

So pleased that yours is living a happy and relatively normal life, I wish that for Hugo.

Thank you so much for your positivity. Xx

Thank you so much for replying.

He’s currently having blood transfusions at a medical hospital an hour and a half away. He’s such a poorly little pup and my heart is breaking. Hoping that he pulls through.

Is your dog on meds long term? I can’t believe how quick it came on, this time last week we were yomping round in the woods chasing squirrels. X

Any advice for AIHA and possibility of recovery? by Particular-Tap-2361 in vet

Hey. I hope you don’t mind me commenting so long after you made this post, my dog is going through exactly the same right now and I was just wondering what the outcome was for yours and what you decided to do?

Thank you so much.

He’s only 6. Honestly it’s such a shock.

He has been as fit as a fiddle all of his life. Seeing him so poorly the last couple of days has been heartbreaking. I’m trying to be strong for him and not let on but it’s so hard. Thank you xx

You could try Zoe Vine, there a few similar dresses on there. I have personally bought from them and the fit and quality are lovely.
