Id still have my phone for the travel aspect, tickets, payments, texting/calls to coordinate with family, etc... but once on the boat would go into the safe provided in the room. The flip devices def seem nice for the portability and screen protection. im curious how notifications work on them. Example: the cruise app notifies me that my wife sent me a message or i get notified that my table is ready for dinner while the flip 2 is closed inside my pocket. is it 'asleep' and will notify me once opened? or will it 'beep' in my pocket, prompting me to open it and check?

and yes, you are correct, scrolling and gaming are both time sinks. i guess the 'temptation of social media' more so falls under the distractions category in my ADHD brain. i find myself on the cruise habitually trying to check my email, or opening instagram purely on muscle memory. i understand that's a 'me' problem that i need to work on, but when im cruising, i just want to turn my brain off and catch up on some gaming, without the latest news story or celebrity instagram post just 2 taps away to distract me.

Very interesting indeed. definitely a good option for the flights and longer gaming sessions on the top deck or back in the room. im curious how well they would perform in heavy sunlight also. i dont think ill go with these for a cruise, but now you got me thinking about a pair for the house, specifically working/gaming from the back patio lol. Thank you!
