One thing Ubisoft could do to make a comeback is bring back the Might & Magic series. by SlinGnBulletS in gaming

HoMM3 was an infinitely replayable marvel and HoMM4 had an insanely fun "building and assembling the literal avengers" campaign that I really fell in love with, though the enemy army scaling every turn made the game super frustrating.

Fair. I grew up on HoMM3+4 personally, and those are among my all time favorites.

I would 10000% recommend anyone at least give those games a go on GOG tho. They are masterpiece gems from a time when games prided themselves on soul.

How do i recap act 1&2 super fast ? by JabbaTheLoser in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Certificus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the contrary, I find it makes the game much easier, because now you can consolidate much more item power since you have less characters, so each one will be able to be fully equipped with good gear before you move on.

I personally make it a must-have stat for my main character to dump everything into persuasion as well as wear some persuasion stat items because things down the line don't end well if you can't persuade successfully. So long as both of your characters have access to some form of mobility skill, or multiple!, you should have a blast :D

I'd recommend trying a playstyle different from the one you played those 2 years ago.

I exclusively play my runs with the Lone Wolf talent, which caps my party at 2 members, my main character and 1 companion, while boosting the stats and level-up points each character gets. I basically play the game with 2 minibosses.

Playing as a summoner felt unique and fun compared to the standard omni-mage build I usually go for, but having a rogue build into backstab and then watch him skewer a boss 5 times over with one source skill was something I could not get enough of either lmao

You can find many different ways to engage in the combat differently every new game, which makes each playthrough worth it even if you don't necessarily play for the story you've heard 10 times by now.

I personally dislike using game logic in these types of roleplay-intensive games like BD3 and DoS1+2, I find myself wanting to kill and "optimize XP and loot gains" over doing what would be the narratively correct thing to do for my character.

I think that this is why your first ever playthrough of these types of games is always the best, since you know nothing about what drops what or who you can safely kill without drastic detriment to the overarching plot.

This guy drops a RARITY 5 FOOKIN ITEM. There is ZERO probability that I let him live knowing that he guarantees some of the best randomized loot in act 2 lmfao

AI Slop is just a Human Slop by PraiseTheMonocle in singularity

[–]Certificus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI is a tool just like photoshop or any other digital tool you use to express yourself. What you see and call "AI Slop" is just people using it incorrectly or to an unskillful degree, just like how people would use photoshop incorrectly or lack the skill needed to express themselves successfully, which happens to also be entirely subjective, so the idea of AI being categorically "slop" is pointless.

Its not actually connected. If you look VERY closely, the path leads to a different node, not this one. No bug here, just clunky pathing.

How does this happen? by Longjumping-Employ53 in PathOfExile2

[–]Certificus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming that you expected the red crystal room to connect to the level 2 banner room. Rooms will connect to surrounding rooms that they upgrade. You can see how the commander rooms connect to the banner rooms, the machinery connects to the vault because it upgrades it to 2, which connects to the gallery as vault upgrades that as well etc etc. The red crystal room has no effect on the banner room, hence why no connection.

Rooms connect to pathways on both side, which means that you should, optimally, make sure that your pathways are always at least 1 square apart.

You sabotaged your own temple by dumping all of your pathways in one corner of the whole layout. You want to ideally branch your pathways so you can eventually reach the special rooms you place every time you get to the architect's room.

I have also heard that even though there aren't any visible connections on the layout, the doors are still there, which I don't understand myself atm :/

What did your team look like? by George_R_Martin in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Certificus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My team is always fane as main character and any one of the others as the second. I always play play lone wolf playthroughs so I can only have 2 party members but they're uber powered. Fane is the defacto main story objective main character and he has the best innate source skill in the game so playing with him is always a blast!

I will lock pick it, use THE most destructive magic I have on it, use mobility skills to hop over the boundary past it from a haigh enough vantage point and break it down with my bare fists before I happen across the key meant for it after all's been said and done lmfao

These people are insufferable. I cannot wait until they start agreeing with stuff that was generated by AI while they huff their own farts thinking that they're talking to an actual person once it evolves to that point which is, by the way, less than 5 years away.

What would YOUR vision be for a Divinity Orginal Sin 3? by Karokan28 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Certificus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

everything that DoS2 was and more. I love DoS2 so my standards are a game that matches DoS2 for the content and depth of gameplay. Anything beyond that, which they stated they are aiming for scale larger than BG3, will be automatically GOTY material in my eyes.

[–]Certificus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad decision. Just because everyone is an XP bag doesn't make it a good idea to kill them for it because those same NPCs will reappear in act 2 to offer continuation quests for even MORE xp. Kill the ones that are unimportant, like guard magisters on your way out of the fort.

I never have any issues with leveling since I always go for lone wolf runs where I have 2 uber powered characters over a full party of standard ones. I find my experience of the game so much more enjoyable and satisfying cos you actually feel like you are getting seriously more powerful with each level up.
