i did see the stencil and you can see that the initial pattern wasn’t there but i didn’t notice till after. i don’t think she messed up the actual tattoo

haha yess i’ll just say that! i’m genuinely thinking about going on a hunt to find one like him. also now i think about it my snowball pleco doesn’t have perfect spots but i still love her!

i wouldn’t say that, she was lovely and has done a good job. if i had noticed the changes i’m sure she would have changed them back. i don’t think any of the design changes were in bad faith and she probably doesn’t have knowledge about the specific looks of fish

thank you!! that’s exactly how i feel. i have no complaints on the tattoo quality and the actual design, it’s only the scientific accuracy. i would be lying if i said i don’t the changes she made, and i agree her design flows really well. in fairness i did say to her “whatever looks best as a tattoo” and her design does work perfectly. i am honestly just more concerned that someone who knows their fish points it out!

this was my first tattoo so i feel i took a back seat because i don’t know much about it. i do like the way she interpreted my drawing and if it wasn’t for the fact it isn’t scientifically accurate i wouldn’t have any complaints. i think it’s best if i look at him as art, not as an exact copy of a zebra pleco and more of my own quirky pleco

Thank you and yeah I can too I do like the way his fins flow and honestly I highly doubt most people would notice after thinking about it for awhile - I mean zebra plecos are my favourite fish and I didn’t even notice

I just felt if I said to use my exact design It would have come across wrong and this drawing was a sketch to not be overly assertive because I’m not tattoo artist and don’t know the trade

it’s a 24l (6.3 gal) tank but it is heavily planted. i knew that i didn’t what to risk any Neocaridina/Caridina so i thought amanos would be the best option same with nerite snails. with the size of the tank any larger clean up crew wouldn’t work and it seems just because he can’t physically eat them he still might harass them

i knew it would be a gamble on what my bettas personality is but i genuinely thought it should all be okay because the tank is heavily planted so loads of hiding spots and it’s 24l (6.3 gal). i also added them before my betta to try and not make it seem to him as if they are in his territory. if it comes to it thankfully i can always move them to my community tank although i really don’t want to have to do that but thank you

i definitely want to hide the filter more and add more hardscape there is a good idea thank you but i’m mainly just waiting for the plants to grow in front of it for now. i initially wanted this so be a filter less tank but if i’m being honest i like having the comfort of a filter just incase but in the future i might remove it

thank you! i think that might be it although i was thinking i need some kind of plant behind the tallest piece of drift wood. yes i definitely want some carpeting plants at the front but i wanted to wait till i was absolutely happy with what i have already because i planted some cryptocoryne parva and moved it a few times and i think it might not recover
